Have you got an imob fitted? Where were you measuring voltage?
-
I've not done one but I don't think it would be too hard, especially if the belt is stretchy...
-
That bearing is £29+vat over here retail but they pay alot more for parts over there... If GSF can supply SKF bearings then fair enough but i've never managed to get any out of them even when i've specifically ordered that make.... The wheel bearings that were fitted to the TDI when the conversion was done 2 years/30k miles ago were GSF and all completly failed - getting new fronts fitted made such a difference!

Fiver from the dealer...

Audi all the way, best value and spec for the money...
-
Erm - yeah I didn't think it was - just uses same seal as a mk2 which pulls out and I assume the glass just pushes out in the same fashion...
-
Yeah - I don't think it's completly necessary but it can't do any harm...
-
Yep - thats how I've always stated my VW's...
-
I didn't want to worry you but I'm glad I did now!!!
-
(you may actually be better off doing it place if you can get onto it with belt tension as holding the pulley is a pain altho you can affrod to damage the old one...)
-
LOL - new pulley is about £7...

Welcome to the forum... Don't worry about the relays for now as the car was running ok... A failing fuel pump will put more strain on the other one so I'd change that first...

Someone with ETKA And Steering Knowledge of G60 help please
Supercharged replied to Astrasteve's topic in Engine Bay
Not got ETKA here but those pipes are ridiculously expensive - I would go back to the place that fitted the exhaust if i were you! -
Yep, another vote for the Greenflag service, got free cover with my Halifax account but I don't think that offer is still available...

Standard 1.3 I take it?

Doubtful it will get much quieter, they are just very loud exhausts on VR6's... I went with Kevhaywire to the milltek factory to have his reffited as it was constantly knocking but after being re-welded it was still loud, extra middle silencer put in and it actually made it worse, complete new system refitted and drove back, noise at 70mph was ridiculous, new VAG system fitted a week later... the annoying thing was there was nothing wrong with his original one but it was destroyed taking it off...

Is the ABS working or not? If so I'd clear the fault and wait for it to re-appear before worrying about it
-
You don't want anything loose in there mate - thats what the cover is there for! 16V's should have a belt change at 60k intervals and the tensioner should always be replaced at the same time, if it's not been done get it looked at straight away but i'd get the cover off first to check the bearing isn't breaking up - if it is you will see swarf all over the place and you will probably see its off centre - don't even start the engine! If it's not the above then yes probably the water pump.
-
Yeah, I keep seeing them on the bay...
