  1. Clutch fluid is brake fluid... Coolant is very slippery - is the level in the tank dropping??
  2. Goldie197, are you sure it's coolant..? If not then it could be the clutch slave leaking...
  3. I like the sound of those wanger pads...
  4. GSF got you the wrong kit (altho it may be goodridge's fault) - there are 2 kits for the G60, one with shorter front hoses to go onto the early style calipers... I didn't realise you could get rid of the metal pipes on the caliper tho so this is probably a better way of doing it if your replacing everything... It's on etka - look for the chassis breaks on the calipers and hoses (M chassis)
  5. daytona600, yeah, I had the same problems with Wolsey in Ipswich - they should be able to just look while your on the phone! - there is one guy there, John who is spot on but the rest of them are just miserable old gits or young kids who don't have a clue how to use ETKA... If you need a large amount of stuff go and see Neil at Ipswich Audi - you won't get a better service anywhere else!
  6. Yep - no 96 corrado's actually exist, last ones were on the 95/S chassis... There are at least 3 late registered P platers arounds and maybe an R reg too...
  7. Yeah - rusty metal is probably the worst... I managed to get some solder in my eye a few weeks back, completly stupid of me as I had a pair of safety goggles right in front of me... Anyways it flicked up and flew straight in before I had time to blink, hurt like hell and I was shatting myself as my eyesight has always been second to none and thats one part of your body you really don't want to damage! Thought i'd have to go to hospital but managed to swap it out myself using lots of water and a cotton bud... Went to the opticians a week later and he could see no signs of it as the cornea heals itself in 48 hours and altho the blink usually saves you the temp of the metal would have reduced by the time it hit... One bit of advice he did give tho was not to go to casualty with this sort of injury, he said always ring your GP's emergency number or NHS direct and get refered to the eye clinic - he has seen more harm than good done by casualty staff!
  8. Nah... bollox to big engines, the Corrado chassis can't handle it - the next big conversion will be the TSI i reckon - awesome!
  9. Hmm - I may be wrong then if they list 2...
  10. Yeah that should do it - you could also use the mk4 front bump stops as these are shorter and cheaper than the mk2 version...
  11. I think you need to start pulling fuses while testing to isolate the circuit where the problem lies.
  12. Just saw you other thread - make sure you get new front top mounts and bearings too... I'd get these from VW however as the GSF ones don't last...
  13. The spax ones will be 40mm already... you generally don't get aftermarket springs which are the same height as OE
  14. I'd get the standard ones they sell - they are rubber rather than foam so last much longer than the VW ones... If you are lowering make sure you cut them down by that amount tho - either with a hacksaw or stanley knife.
  15. Because they ain't available  you have to makes them yourself...
  16. Hmmm - i'd only pay that if the body work was pristine... The faults may all be simply electrical ones but if he's not bothered to get a rattly exhaust fixed before sale you gotta wonder what else he's skimped on...
  17. Glad your ok Laura! It will always be the other persons fault if they run into the back of you whatever the circumstance... New bumper plus fixings = £500, painted and fittet will be another £250 as an insurance job.
  18. Hi Andrew and welcome to the forum... I'd change the fuel pump and ECU relays anyway as they are cheap and will fail at some point but the most likely cause would be the hall sender starting to break down which is part of the distributer altho It could be other things like the coil itself, dodgy tank of fuel etc...
  19. I think the TSI GTI starts at £20k officially and I doubt there is much discount given at the moment, my local dealer hasn't even got a demonstrator as demand is so high... They also do an SE TSI I think for about £15k but the power output is lower...
  20. mo_527, are they working at all..? Reason I ask as depending on what car and year it is they may be on the same fuse...
  21. I think you've spent to long being a door man at kids disco's Struan!

Hehe - so tell us what is on that particular circuit and we'll tell you the most likely cause...
