Yeah - it's in the instruction manual you get with the car...
  2. Yeah - 19mm six sided for the sump plug and make sure you use a new crush washer... Use an old alternator belt to get the fiilter off if you've not got a strap wrench - stick a screwdriver thru it as a last resort but be careful not to brake the dipstick guide or go thru any water pipes - lol
  3. benworld, Hi mate and welcome! Site looks excellent and the directory idea is a good one
  4. TomD, they are like sockets so as long as you can get a socket onto it it will come off and yes i've used them on cap head bolts which are completly round on the outside and they just bite into them - get them from machine mart over here...
  5. It's just to the right of the engine as you look at it - where the gearbox bolts to the block...
  6. Irwin Bolt Grippers - have a look on ebay... Boost return removal - there is loads of info on here, just have a search...
  7. Renshaw you tart... How are you going to own a standard VR after what you had... those old VR6 engines make a noise you know!!
  8. You sure it's the pump Dom? Yeah, I bought one for a mate a couple of months ago - was £28 inc vat (with a discount) plus £15 surcharge from VAG but this one had a plastic impeller... Seems to be the same with the 4cyl pumps, the GSF ones have a metal impeller and the VAG ones are plastic - not sure which is better tho but i'd rather stick with OE.
  9. Yeah - It might pop back into place if your lucky...
  10. Has this car ever run?? What year VR is it - ie does it hav an imob? Have you VAGCOM'd it?
  11. F'ing crazy frog... Jesus - that was a big crash, it hit harder than I expected even after looking at the damage... (I was looking the wrong way when it actually happened)

Castro, Welcome to the forum... You have a short somewhere on that circuit to blow a 20a - what fuse is it...?? You'll need to look in the manual and see what else is on the circuit and start unplugging stuff until you find the problem
  13. Hmmm The shorter leads are for the coilpack as far as I know... I think you may have got the wrong ones but it's also worth noting that the corrado never came with the red ones so they were not original either...
  14. Here's another place for the number...
  15. Might be worth calling GPC and seeing if they can do this kind of thing as they seem to have access to the parts system like the dealers do...
  16. Turn2?? - not sure they are still in business...
  17. Hmmm - thought there was only one type on the Corrado... Check the engine number - should be ABV not AAA
  18. As above check the electric pump is working first, with the ignition on (not engine) it should 'buzz' It's just behind the coil pack / dizzy (where the 6 leads plug in) and it's about the size of a red bull can with an electrical connection to the top of it and 2 water hoses at the bottom... Also look for any other signs of a leak, usually in the form of white powdery deposits...
  19. Business Post are also very good...
