'enjoy' - It's nearly £25 delivered!!! It's half that from Classic Parts
-
Being built by Karmann too :-) VW has confirmed that the new car will be hand-built at its Osnabruck facility
-
No - you need to either attach them or host them online somewhere and insert a picture link
-
^ Yep best to buy OEM really, the chromed ones on eBay last about a year before rusting. They we're £2 each a few years ago!

If it's as good as it looks then it's worth that - remember there aren't that many around on less than 100k miles now and pretty much all Corrado specific parts are classic parts only meaning they cost much more than they used to so restorations are much more expensive than before. Looks a really nice standard / honest example! ---------- Post added at 4:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 3:55 PM ---------- Just had another look and it's bl00dy nice - mud flaps have kept the stone chips at bay and the only thing I can see missing is one of the bonnet support rubbers. The lack of interior wear and history says the mileage is genuine - only after market thing I can see is an alarm which most cars had to have for insurance back then and the white side repeaters. The low miles and the standard wheels / suspension probably mean it's in very good condition underneath not having been jacked up that much destroying the factory underseal. Front lights all look really good, all the panel gaps are correct etc. If I was after one now I'd be looking at it - the overall condition is more important than the engine. -
Can anyone recommend a good bodyshop in the West Midlands?

Anything with plus suspension but make sure they are the right length and seat if you have aftermarket wheels Not very expensive from VW

My beautiful G60, check out the millage :)

Yep - well done for saving that, lot of work but worth it with the low miles! -
ECM learn for new ISV causing occasional stall?

Have you been through the basic settings procedure? -
22mm If you use 16v pads these will give you an extra 5mm overall if you think that will do it
-
What car / brake setup have you got??? ---------- Post added at 8:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 8:34 PM ---------- If it's a G60 then I think you might have fitted 16V calipers to it!

N 905 507 01 - Speed Nut
-
That is odd - sure I've ordered them before! I think the holes are slightly elongated so the clips are there to secure the lights so the beam pattern is constant. I've made a note to look tonight
-
They're called speednuts on ETKA - should be fairly obvious when looking at the diagram. I'll get you the part number tonight if you can't find

89>95 2.9 VR6 1H0498625 £47.06 £31.00 Prices above are retail vs trade + vat
-
Get a genuine replacement - nothing else seems to last, especially on a VR!
-
Wondering if it's the CV - how does the bearing feel?? did you use a genuine VAG one?
-
Just reading your original post - this noise you get when braking... If you take the nut off do you get any play between the bearing and hub? Just wondered if the disc is hitting the brake carrier?
-
Yeah - the standard G60 one is 430mm (same as the Golf 16v and too small imo) - there is an AirCon G60 obe though that is a monster 675mm
-
They're not the same, VR one is 630mm if that's what you need. The elbow is available from Classic Parts.
-
Try using compressed air to clear the sunroof drains - buy a can of it if you've not got access to a compressor
-
All VR's should use the 12 point nut with built in washer and nyloc - I suspect you've crushed the bearing if you've used a 6 point without a washer :-(
-
Sunroof seals not too bad comapared to the rood strips - might come up fine with a bit of old toothbrush action but as Jim says they are still available (one of the only parts that are!) Windscreen - if you get it fitted make sure they have the measurements from the Bentley manual - they need spacing correctly so the seal fits just right - should be held by a bit of sealant at the top but not down the sides. Dash lights - you tried adjusting the rheostat on the headlight switch? Looks really tidy otherwise from the pics - best to get some 15" standard speedlines on there first and see how it handles.
