So had they not replaced the caliper then? I'd replace both sides with MK4 items if you can but you may well need a wheel bearing too on that side as the grease will have got cooked. Could also be moisture getting inside and freezing / corroding the handbrake cables. ABS errors - i'd ignore these for now if the sensors read the same resistance from the plugs under the rear seats - clear the codes and get the mechanical stuff sorted first - ABS errors will come up if the front wheels are moving and rears are not and also could be dust / dirt / distorted or corroded ABS cage or wheel bearing play.

1.8 kr missing under load. ignition? fuel? both? Help please

You might want to stick some insulation tape around the leads where they drop down to the sparks - just in case they are breaking down around here due to heat -
You sure the battery is good then if it's not doing anything?? You need to start with a multimeter and / or cleaning connections - if you have some sort of AA cover I'd use it as they are great at looking at this sort if issue.
-
You tried moving the flap about? sometimes they distort slightly / get bent back while fueling up - fit needs to be fairly good.
-
Nope - same company Lucas Girling - I think they merged at some point.
-
Well worth checking it's not full of water!

G60's are worth more than VR's at the moment - getting much harder to get hold of good ones!
-
I fitted the MK4 ones on mine - you have to redrill http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?45434-312mm-Brakes-on-a-4-Stud&highlight=312mm+stud

Still a sh1te service by the sounds of it! -
Yeah - when you can still find cars with less than 100k on the clock it's not worth buying something with 200k+, especially as parts are egtting harder to get hold of now.
-
Plug should be the same mate, direct replacement. Yours will be original with the 536 part number. Have a look at a MK4 golf...

Immobiliser problem – any advice appreciated
Supercharged replied to scarlet_vr6's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
Just get Vince to remove it - he can do it by post if you need! -
Always best to set to 6 BTDC first and check it runs ok, mark that point with tippex on the dizzy and then maybe try a couple more degrees but make sure you have a decent tank of 98/99 RON and bare in mind you'll always need to use this. Marking it's useful so you can go back to 6 if you get any pinking as it gets warmer or you get a sh1t tank of fuel etc.

Tighter then normal Lay shaft? :( help
Supercharged replied to Michael'durham''s topic in Engine Bay
lol! Bit odd but all it does is drive the oil pump and dizzy - there are bearings I think but you wouldn't usually replace. Did they change the oil? -

Where did they get posted too Phil? most likely stuck in customs - can take weeks sometimes! -
I think the main problem is half this stuff now is knocked up in China for pennies... Someone at work bought a generic Dell laptop power supply of eBay despite new ones from Dell being only £20 and it nearly set fire to her house - luckily she was in the room when smoke started bellowing out! Be careful what you buy people and what you leave plugged in / switched on!
-
5w - 40 is what VW recommend for this engine - most of us use 10W-40 though... A 15w oil is really too thick i'd say, especially at this time of year!
-
Yep - advice above is spot on - that oil is way to thick for a G60 as the charger is fed from the engine oil pressure. Look at the sensor, wiring and oil pressure. If the water temps are ok I doubt there is anything major wrong with it!
-
Well done - thought it must be something simple!
-
Are the fogs not available?? ( I thought they still were?) How much is a Lens nowadays?
-
Ehhh????
-
Completly different as the VR uses 'Plus' suspension
-
You can replace headlight lenses separately... fogs should still be available new as far as I know!
