Yes sorry - I was rather drunk when I posted the first one!!! - I'm suprised it was as clear as it is!!! Hmmm.. I've got one of those too! - I'm down in London at the moment so can't check my switch but i'll let you know later in the week...
-
RW1 - Just re-read your post and I don't think my first one was that clear... There is a lock that slides to the left side of the fuse box that releases the all the loom plugs at the back, have you done this?
-
My mate got his front seats done for about £40 and they came up like new... I guess a whole interior would be about a ton...
-
Not sure I understand? - you've got it out of the back of the fuse box then??
-
What oil did you use?
-
More and more companys do steam cleaning now (specifically for cars) Then get some seat covers...
-
A working cat will smell, not a car without one...
-
Have you released the lock on the left hand side of the panel?? = have a look and you'll see what I mean! It should just unclip and pull out then...

kop10320178, Welcome to the fourm... Change the Radiator Thermoswitch... it's knackered and is only operating at stage 2 (this is why your water temp goes up to 110 in traffic) I'd also think about changing the Thermostat as this maybe sticking and also the temp sender as these under-read with age...

Maybe one from a Golf would be easier to find if compatible... -
Good stuff!
-
GPC were doing the roof trims for £30 a side at the shows (no VAT) To be honest it's only worth buying stuff from them at shows unless you're placing a big order as after P&P on big delicate items it's the same price at yer local dealer and cheaper if you get some discount...
-
No worries - it just needs a price if it's in the classifieds...
-
Have you checked the crank pulley???
-
exactly, it's the best place to get a standard engine from and ALL the parts are new!
-
This problem may be caused by an alarm/imobiliser badly installed so it's affecting the fuelpump run-on circuit.
-
blanking of plate (think this is name of the part)

Doh - sorry, I didn't read the post! -
Or just go to Halfrds... £1.99 for a touchup pen...

Ostfriesland, hehe! Welcome to the forum Richie!!
-
Not bad when you add up the parts... cam, crank, tappets, sump, cam cover, head gasket, bolts, pulleys and belt...
-
Ok, it's aVR6 then if you have the aux waterpump - you should hear the fuel pump run on also... Are you sure it's not - place your hand over the fuel pump cover in the boot and you should feel it, even if you have a very quiet pump... If it's not running on then you may have found the fault!
-
-
You should hear it from under the cover in the boot - you will also hear the radiator fan at the same time...
