Yep, only place for parts like this...
-
It's not widetrack then if it's 4 stud, things like shocks may be the same tho, I'd compare part numbers on ETKA...
-
Not really a VW forum tho Kev...
-
Welcome to the forum! Have you checked the engine earths??
-
I think most VW alt's should put out 14.5, maybe worth buying a new brush/regulator pack for it...
-
Where did you get it from?? I'd take it back but check the wiring first....

Different/incorrect VR6 oil filter supplied by GSF...

I think the Golf VR6 uses a different one to the Corrado 2.9 VR6... -
I think it's Seats around 95-97... Ashtray bulb from VW...

Like this... (the powerflow backbox on my G60)
-
err.. they come on a self adhesive strip thing...
-
I think they leave the factory set up for LHD but the UK distributer or retailer should be setting them up for RHD unless they are selling them and clearly stating that they are LHD.
-
The glass is completly clear so the difference between lhd and rhd is just the direction of the bulbs/reflectors, hence the need to adjust them

According to ETKA, should be the same as most mk3 based vehicles... -

You checked the vac pipe to the map sensor (the internal pipe inside the ECU casing)
-
Yeah just slips on - the plastic I mention above is the plastic version of the handle (not all cars got the leather one)

Supercharged replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
Nice one Dave, good to meet you \and glad you got back ok! -
It's best to just go and ask the dealer for these, they usually have a load in stock - On Etka they are hard to find but if they have to searcg use 'cable' as they are refered to as cable tie/clip/retainer/guide etc...

Stealth Racing in Warickshire isn't far from you at all, well worth a drive as they really know how to get the power from the 16V engines!
-
Yip, Plastic 191 711 327C - £3 Leather 357 711 320 - £Don't Ask...

May be your voltage regulator on the alternator, try putting a voltmeter across the battery and get someone to rev the engine... (should read over 14v always with engine running)
-
greenbeltvr6, If they says it's worn then get it changed, this belt drives the alternator so you car will break down if it snaps, as Kev says, only about £20 from VW for the proper poly-ribbed belt. You may also want to check the aux belt tensioner, these bearings tend to wear out also, whole unit is £70 but you can change the bearing yourself for about a tenner (again, have a search)

Can't find this part in my Bently Manual - photos included!
Supercharged replied to martyjmcfly's topic in Engine Bay
Tom (VR6) will be pleased!! I think that part doesn't exist on the US 2.8 VR, thats why it doesn't appear in the Bender... -
What exactly is the problem? The things that tend to go wrong are the inlet pumps (if you have hard water), elements and thermostats, all replaceable items for not much cost if you do it yourself... http://shop.ezee-fix.co.uk/ As for mounts, VT all the way...
