  1. Thats the one Kongo - had a good look at it a couple of days ago... 6 miles on the clock but no engine, strange...
  2. If the judge has any sense he'll throw it out and hopefully discourage police from wasting public money in the future...
  3. Or not... G60 badge but no engine
  4. Great Trip! Glad everyone got home safely and a hope the new house is good Chris! Eric - thanks again for your superb organisation and translation! Had to laugh when I read this post (The only word I recognise is the last one!)
  5. Hmmm, I wonder if it ever had a battery...
  6. Hmmm... I've got 2 early ones sat here, all the pin numbers match up but the plastic lug/key things don't, safe to remove so it fits the loom plug??
  7. If you do drop the axle be sure to disconnect the rear ABS sensors (under rear seats)

The answer to your next question is Carb/Injector cleaner...
  9. If you G60 boys are getting those temps you really need to get a Mocal oil cooler, after fitting I got an almost 20 degree drop and oil consumpion halved. Also consider Castrol 10W-60

    HELLO

Do you mean the thermoswitch?? - the one on the rad itself...
  11. I've heard of several VR6's (Corrado's, Golfs, Galaxys etc) snap chains around the 150k mark but one at 117k I think. I'd say a safe service interval is 100 to 120k but keping an eye on the upper guide rail every year can't be a bad idea...
  12. logicaltuning, fit a big crank handle
  13. I think Daves16v does a repair kit that replaces that broken arm... RW1, any idea why there are so many different switches out there, I've got 4 that are all slighly different and the plastic 'key' is different on 2 of then...
  14. skimask, no need....
  15. Tempest may have some ideas on this - you tried changing relays??

    REAR BADGE

It's a Passat part 357 853 675A Tell yer dealer it's under inscriptions, page 158, really not difficult!
  17. I think that was the case on many mk2's...
  18. The seems used to split on mk2 Golfs but doesn't seem to be common on Corrado's - check your rear panel for the Option code/Vin number sticker for signs or being replaced...
  19. You sure there is nothing bent?
  20. Hmmm... It works on Vacumn but not sure if a leak or a dying pump could cause it to unlock but not lock...
