..and moving to ICE

It should be standard ISO - you sure the look that your looking at isn't an adapter that should be with the old stereo??
-
Yes, my mates was an HDi dr_mat, I was really meaning the parts your likely to buy, ie servicing parts which are generally twice the price of VW altho i'm sure there are some exceptions...
-
Yep, VW don't list BOSCH plugs for the VR, only NKG.
-
...Or get a 12V LED...

Mate had one as a company car, also on a Y plate I think... nice enough car but had alot of proobs in the first year, aircon packed up twice, other electrical probs, tracking kept going out and interior rattles, after these were fixed tho I think it was ok for the next 2 and then he changed it for a Golf after the 3 years. He did also need new discs when the pads were done for the first time that I thought was bad but he did drive it very hard. Also Pug parts are a bit more expensive than VAG.

Yep, me too... -
Welcome to the forum! The G60 comes with the same middle hump as the VR on the rear seats, It's just the cloth that is different... Spoiler's rarely go wrong, it's a myth, the sunroofs do but it's not critical... Standard C's handle very well but you have to appreciate that if you buy an unmodified one now then the suspension is likely to be shot... I'd say either pick up one for 2500 and budget the cash for charger rebuilds/suspension etc or pay around the 4k mark and get one that has already been modifed, just depends entirly on what you are looking for and what is out there.... Good luck with you search!

It will stop you getting shocks when getting out the car!

2cv, it is but you need a fairly thinish one, it's 32mm by the way, also make sure the new Rod you get has 6 sides on the bit we are talking about undoing otherwise you won't be able to torque it up....
-
VAg pads are Ate but the seem to be too hard a compound for those of us who like to break hard and go shiny and tend to squeek... on the up side they last a good 20-30k miles...

That maybe where the carbon canister has been removed...

I think at the end of the day, however careful you are, there is an element of human error with anything and we ae all human! Admittedly tho garages do have an extra responsibility because they are working on soemthing can could potentially cause injury if work is not done correctly. I know I personally wouldn't trust myself to work in a garage, working on other peoples cars under pressure to a timescale and with all the distractions I'd not trust myself... I my IT job the worst i can really do is loose a customers data, annoying but not the end of the world...

Only problem with alloy is that it cracks rather than bends if you hit something...
