So the bite point is low? you taken the mat out - might help for a bit? Any signs of fluid on top of the gearbox? (from the slave) Also check your (brake) fluid levels not dropped - You could just try bleeding the slave...
-
What's with the size difference then? was that what they recommended?

lol!

Replacement brake master cylinder on my 16v - non ABS
Supercharged replied to Ralphead's topic in Drivetrain
It's 22.2mm you need - I have a genuine VW one I didn't use and it's the new alloy type one. I paid £75 from TPS for it so will do the same price posted if you want it. -
If you have a MK4 knob you can also buy the 6 spd emblem from VW for a couple of quid...

Sounds like the switch to me!

VW = pennies

Yeah not the best weather to do it - try and get the car (interior) nice and warm first so the plastic is less brittle

This is why you should never mix shortbread and heroin

Hi mate, you're probably better searching for 'seat 305mm' for that conversion as the rear boxster calipers are compatible with the 4-stud setup found on the Ibiza Cupra R - very good upgrade using all off the shelf parts. ---------- Post added at 7:41 PM ---------- Previous post was at 7:37 PM ---------- Well, 3 and a bit years on and the brakes are still great - just poweful enough to inspire confidence but not lock up - have done around 45k miles since the conversion and the VAG pads were almost down to the metal so have changed these for a set of EBC Green Stuff I had kicking around. Discs around half worn so should hopefully last until the next pad change.

http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?36103-Loose-steering-wheel&highlight=adjustable+steering+pin Glue seems to be the fix!

There is a pin on the column - carefully remove the lower shroud to have a look

BMW's and Merc's = awful in snow/ice

That's what I did with the Loctite kit and it worked fine - may just be too cold right now.
-
My G60 hit 140c once... the speedo was reading the same figure at the time, I slowed down a bit after!
-
Loctite to a special glue kit with a mesh for sticking this - Halfords sell it. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_168190_langId_-1_categoryId_255230 Otherwise any autoglass place should be able to stick it for you.

Yep, the 'heavy' PAS on the Corrado is one of it's best features, not too light like modern cars and gives great feedback and should feel precise! The pulling could also be just tracking or worn tyres but could also be worn suspension components. What you're describing above is 'bump steer' - they do suffer from this a bit but bad roads, certain tyres, lowered suspension and larger wheels don't help.

Anything around 100c for oil is perfect, as long as the water temp gauge gets to the half way point (and stays there) in around 10 mins in this weather it's all good!
-
They don't stay black for very long!
-
Depends what you're trying to achieve? Does it still sound good? do you need to play 45's? Project do some nice kit but the setup you have would probably cost a fair bit to replicate / replace. Vinyl is the way forward though, I love it :-) EDIT = Kev, I still have my SL-1200 MK2 btw!

Have you fitted this using the parts from the Jetex? really need to change mine! -
Welcome to the forum - the lurch could also be engine mounts - look for signs of oil seeping from the 3 mounting points and also see how much the engine moves when reved. Regarding greasing the linkages - get a new can of WD40 and fire it straight at the linkage on top of the gearbox, let it drain for a bit then get a hand (glove) full of CL grease and work it into the linkage - take it for a drive and should make a noticeable improvement after a few miles, especially with the oil change also
