  1. Stealth would probably recommend 5-40 fully synth but at 75k it's getting on a bit... I'd only use it if it's been run on it since the rebuild... You could maybe try it first as it's cold and see if it uses much then change to 10-40 in the summer if consumption is high... as David says above, it's a good oil and cheap so you can change regularly.
  2. Can anyone point me in the direction or the best strip light type solution to use in the garage? Getting fed up of having to use about 5 lamps to do any work in this weather! I know sodium lighting is good for paint work etc?
  3. The clips should just twist but they are pennies from VW to replace!
  4. Picture might help... Tyre size should be fine is ET35 - must be something wrong like a bent axle if it's rubbing that easily...

  6. Yep - when I first read this thread I thought "must be a lesbian" but then I added her on Twitter and she then followed me also... Obviously this means she wants it!
  7. As if a Corrado owner's going to go out with someone in a mk4 anyway  Standards...
  8. The Clarke set above hasn't even got the ball bearing runners... I have a Clarke HD Pro box that does and it's good but not up to the quality of the Halfords black ones.
  9. Nice - I actually get 4.5% off at Halfords using my credit card so would bring the price down to 257.84 http://www.quidco.com/halfords-in-store/
  10. I can vouch for these - got them both and quality is superb, decent capacity too and I use the bottom drawer of the roll cab for air tools
  11. Aslo look for signs of oil around the mounts as some are hydraulic.
  12. How are you bleeding it? best way is to use an eezibleed kit!
  13. Where's the clutch pedal?? Maybe open the nipple up?
  14. Yeah - pennies from VW or use a plastic cable tie
  15. http://www.vwheritage.com/vw_spares_Ignition-Lock-cylinder-wtih-keys-Corrado-T4-Transporter-357905855B_act_shop.product_pID_102759413_lang_EN_country_GB.htm £28 + vat according to my ETKA for genuine but the prices are at least a year out of date.
  16. Are you able to convert it to Betamax for me?
  17. Begrudgingly, I paid the $15 and installed it, went to run it and it came up with an error saying something like 'start blocked by imobiliser' so I decided to reboot - now the bloody on/off switch doesn't seem to work unless I vigorously shake the iPad It's now just set fire to my house and the other 2 attached to it and burned half my face off.... I'd probably buy it again though.
  18. I was just about to install that app but the vendors have put the price up 50% (!) - just before xmas too
  19. ^ Business accounts don't pay but clubs should be able to use the same accounts that charities use (not for profit organisations) - some are instant access and usually pay around 2.5% which isn't much but could potentially cover postage costs of a mailout etc ---------- Post added at 2:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 2:41 PM ---------- It's an iPad One Eric... feels really old now!
  20. Apparently most of the outgoing are posting stuff up to you in Scotlandshire... I vote we all pay a fiver and you pay £3,627 pa
