    Welcome to the forum, I'd just buy a (decent) replacement exchange - not an expensive item! Either genuine VW or a Bosch for Eurocarparts etc

    LOL, it's a timing belt that moves the scroll - It can't have been working and must have been slower than a 1.6 carb engine! Don't just put a belt on as there is likely to be internal damage to the charger.

    Just go to VW and get one... ALDI / LIDL also sell one the same size from time to time.

    It's an hours work (in a proper equiped garage) plus wheel allignment - so £200 max, £150 is what I'd expect to pay at somewhere like Stealth

    http://www.carparts4less.co.uk The above seems to be Eurocarparts but without the need to use a code every time you want to buy something because if their inflated prices - in fact some things are 75% cheaper!

    The bolts are for the bottom ball joints which you need to undo to fit...

    Those GSF ones are wrong and I would honestly just bite the bullet and buy genuine from VW - the list above comes to about £55 with discount so not going to break the bank. Pattern ones seem to last a year or two at best.

    It will be the same number, it's the ECU relay and yes, 3rd from the left.

    Andi - joking aside, I've just built a laptop for someone, clean W7 build with Chrome, no data restored / not logged into google etc... If I launch this site all I get are ChineseDating, UniformDating and Maturedating when I refresh at the top banner - at the bottom I have an add to 'download chrome' which I'm using!

    Hold the allen key and undo nut - either with a swan-neck spanner, through socket or lambda socket if it's 22mm (some are 21mm)

    I think Stealth do the clutch, chains and HG for around £1500 - should be less than an hour away from you
