Here is what you need with RRP prices inc VAT... 2 of 6x2 955 410c £35.78 ea. 1 of 6x2 955 426 £12.33 1 of 1J2 955 425B £12.87 This will give you 2X Driver's Arms 1x Passenger's Blade 1x Driver's Blade This lot comes to around £96 but if you ask for discount you should be able to get them for around the £75 mark, especially as this whole conversion used to cost about £33 all in! Yeah, I think you just replace the dizzy with an exchange unit in most cases but you must be able to replace the bits seperatly as they rebuild them... Maybe worth taking the dizzy itself down to your local Bosch agent...

That new box should still be under warranty I think, was it bought and fitted by VW?? - if so take it back...

Yep, 5.1 is £7.50 per Ltr in Halfords and you'll need 2 ltrs to do a change on an ABS Corrado

Who's Kev?? I know what your saying but it's also true that they don't 'last forever' as VW assume, 100k is about the right interval for safety... I have heard of several VRs, 2.8's and 2.9's which have snapped chains between 140 and 160k's...

hmmm - I drove an N reg 16v a few months ago and was also impressed with the brakes compared to other valvers i've driven... maybe some did get the bigger ones from the factory, Karmann did appear to use whatever was available in alot of cases...

Don't you rev it 3 times past 3k to get it out of timing mode?
