Those green seals aren't very much from VW but that might not be engine oil coming through... may just be dirt etc from a distorted cap - they go oval in shape from heat from the engine... I'd just buy a new cap and see how it goes...
-
There isn't a relay Fla... wire goes directly from ignition switch to starter and then starter draws power directly from battery / alternator circuit.
-
Hub nut is the pads are rubbing! Should be able to get to this without taking a wheel off to check it - through the centre cap
-
Don't think relay 150 has anything to do with starting the car! Just the ECU relay 109 that is activated on startup
-
Bit of a turnaround as Porsche tried to buy out VW originally!

:-( http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cambridgeshire-18711127 Very sad indeed - had great potential... Rumour has it that anti-stall kicked in as she slowed down and sent her into the lorry - why it was parked where it was though god only knows!
-
Again it's the high price compared with current car values = not everyone has this sort of cash sitting around but the last one on here took a while to sell and eventually want to someone in Dubia who paid the asking price... it's a rare bit of kit and getting rarer, would be good if someone off here bought it and kept it in the UK - for me it's the ultimate factory mod for a Storm owner, a standard car really is transformed with one of these fitted!
-
Innocent Smoothies are 2 for £4 too
-
The subframe is not the same as a MK2 at all - it's similar but the Corrado has an extra mounting point on it where it bolts to the chassis...
-
I think that's the standard VW price... when on offer it's less than £10 a bottle from TPS...
-
A4 to a Passat would be a slight stop down depending on spec but the CC is in a league of it's own, superb and very underrated car!
-
Plastic Fanimold...
-
Yeah just been reading - probably the most important discovery of this century!
-
Wullie - have you tried a reset of IE settings (under tools\options)?
-
No - VR6 is plus supension so everything is different.

Do you get anything on screen at all? If you click on start and type CMD into the search box, in the dos bos that appears type 'ping http://www.facebook.com' - paste the results into here... ---------- Post added at 8:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 8:17 PM ---------- If the above seems to work and pings then I think maybe Java is broken = try downloading the latest version - http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp ---------- Post added at 8:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 8:20 PM ---------- If the above seems to work and pings then I think maybe Java is broken = try downloading the latest version - http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp

Still available via Classic Parts!

Could be the hall sender on the dizzy mate, would VAGCOM it first... check battery and earth connections too. Ignition switch and ECU relay are also favourite if not been changed, also dodgy supermarket fuel or a leak etc worth thinking about.
-
Always stick to genuine VW for suspension components! That's seriously dangerous - did it damage the bonnet also?
-
This is it... basically discs seem to last around 80k on the rear anyway so you just fit new discs and bearings at the same time...
-
Are you doing this manually?? you really need to pressure bleed it using an eeziebleed kit or similar.

Pennies from VW!

No... the stub axel hole don't line up, MK4 Golf is bigger... the Lupo setup comes with a plate that includes the carrier holes. I think the 4-Motion and R32 uses separate bearings, all other models are the same integrated ones Will find the CGTI thread... ---------- Post added at 2:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 1:58 PM ---------- http://www.clubgti.com//showthread.php?t=177988/showthread.php http://www.clubgti.com/showthread.php?168365-mk4-style-stub-axel-on-a-mk2/page3

I could do with this in my own body I think...!

The MK4 bits are a different stud pattern but Lupo / Polo parts work, I have all the bits but not got round to doing the conversion yet, bearings cost £70 each as they are integrated with the hubs and only appear to last around the same time as the taper sort - ie 80k-120k miles There is a thread on clubGTI with pics about the conversion
