No offense VEEDUBBED, but why does your text always come out all squished up like this??
-
So you are selling now then?
-
Or - one option is to use those bonrath lowering caps which will take the front down an extra 10mm...?

Lupo GTi front wiper conversion - See Page 23!!! for update
Supercharged replied to markTTC's topic in Exterior
Yep, remove it! or you can make your own from a Lupo arm and blade -
Leak ontop of gear box = Leaking Slave cyl. kerrinmay, clean a fluid off the top of the gearbox and keep an eye on it, I reckon the new slave may be leaking (this could happen if they didn't bleed new fluid into it when it was changed and water in the fluid has just knackered it)
-
Also check out the Brembo grooved that GSF sell, there more expensive than genuine VAG but a mate of mine has just stuck them on a mk3 and reckons they are superb!
-
Hmm - how did that happen??? CHECK your crank bolt if I were you!!!!

long, straight, wide private road needed for tests
Supercharged replied to jedi-knight83's topic in General Car Chat
A word of warning mate, don't do any testing for a week or so as suffolk police are out in force sticking camera's up for this weekend... -
corradowales, I hope your using protection, some of these corrado's have had several previous owners...
-
It's not cream tho - it's grey like the photo above!
-
Hmmm, strange one, as RB says the fluid will rise as they wind the rear calipers back altho they may have bled the rears and not topped up the fluid? Depends if the slave is leaking or not really but this is hard to tell at first as they start to leak internally... kerrinmay, suprised the local garage refered you back to the main dealer unless they were sure the slave was faulty, it does make sense what you said about the pedal btw... Jeezz - can we trust any garages any more, my mates at work think i'm mad when i take a day off work and do a 300mile round trip to stealth just because I don't trust anyone round here to work on my car...
-
Hmmm - did she suddenly start going out with you after you bought the Corrado?? That interior BTW is one of the best ones IMO, alot better than the grey/green platinum, I used to have these front seats in my mk2 Golf...
-
Well, all Corrado's were ODB1, they just changed the connector later on...
-
I love the way corradowales, gets his girl in the picture at every oppotunity!
-
Yep, very easy - about 5 screws I think... The fan unclips and twists out like a bayonet fitting, if you get a new fan you will need the existing resistor pack which just unclips... Some useful info here... http://website.lineone.net/~quigger/heater.htm

Dynoed my 3.0l, 268 schricked, ported etc vr6 and....

Agree with Chrishill, the fuel will be past it, i'm suprised it even runs that well.... I reckon with a fresh tank of optimax you may see another 20-30 bhp... -
I think there should be a bolt there - had a clutch change by Mr Clutch recently? I think the oil leak is coming from higher up tho...
-
I'd get it out and mave a look, just drop the passenger shelf - the wiring is long enough to run the fan while its out so you should be able to see what the problem is... did it get very noisy?? - I wonder if the fan itself has come off the spindle...
-
Doubtful but worth a try, they are probably the same VAG part so will cost roughly the same from Seat, but worth giving them a call... I heard GPC may be selling the sets at inters for the price they used to be - maybe worth calling them as well...
-
You'll probably be ok, I wouldn't drive it tho as the steering will be stupidly heavy...
-
mcrisp, welcome to the forum! 3k if its very good i'd say... The thing is that cars approaching 80k will need alot of things changing soon, the sort of things that only need doing at that mileage or age so it's a good time to sell, just bear in mind that if your an enthusiast and you want to keep the car for a while you will want to get things like the standard suspension renewed so also budget for this kind of stuff...

Disconnect BTS, revs should drop as the ECU goes into service mode, then with the engine between 2000-2500 rpm set to 6 degrees BTDC.
-
If you keep accelerating all the time then you will use loads of fuel but at high speeds (cruising at 80-100mph) I find the G60 to be more efficient than my mums mk3 golf (1.8 auto) with the engine running about 1000 rpm lower to produce the same speeds costing about 2p per mile less in fuel...

Some great wordage there...
