If you need to cut the old bracket off, just use some long cable ties to fix it back on, they'll never rust
-
Has this just started as the weather is getting hotter??? I had this last summer and it was to do with my SNS chip being one of the latest and sticking too much fuel in for cold starting... fine after 5 seconds - Darren was just going to give me an updated map when i next came down.

Look under the rear wheel arch below the filler cap - it has a plastic cover over it... use new jubilee clips if it still has the VW originals on it.
-
If its dropping and copming back again and not indicating the road speed then it's probably a faulty speed sensor ontop of the gear box (assuming you have an electronic speedo - early G60's were mechanical) - the sensor is about £12 from VAG What else has changed since it was off road??
-
Or some circlip pliers...
-
Ring Stealth for a quote they do this work on a daily basis... I take it you want cams that are different to what you have now, ie standard??
-
Well, the pump is in the same place but it has a bracket and the the charger stuck ontop of it making it quite a big job... PAS stuff is ok where it is tho... Xchange pump from VW is about £25, get a new stat as well (fiver)

Supercharged replied to jboyslick's topic in Suppliers Forum
Errr... VW? -
OOhhh... So are you actually supplying these??
-
For a VR6 I take it then?? - yes you need the bearing as well.. If its not a VR then they've sent you the wrong ones.
-
I take it your suspension is original so you want to get shocks / springs along with new front top mounts and rear bumpstops as a minimum.... Either Koni Coilovers or a Koni shocks and H&R springs seem to give the best results from what i've seen altho there are cheaper options available

Nelson Willbury is a parts dude at Audi, really knows his stuff too! -
Hmmm - how old is the paint as I tried to get some about a year ago and was told it was obselete... Maybe best to go to a bodyshop who can match the colour to the car, I can't remember what the technology is called but the basically scan your paint and the computer matches it, great for older cars and alot of places do it now...
-
Errr... are you sure yours is Aqua?? - does the code on the can match the one on your rear panel? Maybe the paint is out of date...

pic request? ign timing mark on flywheel/gearbox
Supercharged replied to steveo29's topic in Engine Bay
I think he has a G60... After Darren and Steve set mine up I got the engine to TDC today to have a look as i'd never been able to see the flywheel mark before, I can now just about make out a l just behind the toothed section... -
If you have the Samco reducer and are still using the standard intercooler, you will need an RS outlet... Part number 191 145 755 They used to be £12 from VW, they are now £70 - G-werks do a kit...
-
Forget strut braces, get ARB's..
-
What make of Pads did you use? Maybe worth taking them off and giving them a sand, also check that one wheel is not getting a lot hotter than the other...
-
