Comon on any car - the plastic housings go brittle with age, replace it!

Not sure on a 16V but check the plug and wiring to the temp senders, probably a black plug, then check for resistance across the pins of the sensor...

Its the crank bolt dude - you only need to remove the small cover under the wheel arch... You need car in gear and someone hard on the brakes, and a torque wrench upto 200Nm I think...

NG, what car do you have??? Look for fluid leaks - maybe the slave ontop of the gearbox...

The pulley has a woodruffe key but the stretch bolts can snap on high mileage cars... Banannaman and Henny have been victims of this....

Potato, its intermittent but at the moment just starts, just about idles and then splutters and dies after a little while... Gav, yeah... I'm fairly sure they are all ok although its hard to test the engine ones, all ECU wiring checks out fine...

Yeah, i'll change it tomorrow and then again when I sort it... Ant - running out of idea's! - need to try another ECU I think...

Due to troubleshooting the recent problems I've been having I discovered today that the oil is above the max level on the dipstick and stinks of fuel.. Whats the best thing to do considering the car will hardly run at all now?? do a cold oil change or just not worry about it for now and change the oil as soon as I get it sorted??

Ok, not sure if this will help... there is no part number on it that I can see but there is a VW/ATE sticker with a barcode with numbers above and below it... Above - 10.6123-0600.3 Below - 003 20 0600 0000749 Hope that helps!

Arse - sorry MYOFB, your right! the ABS stuff is seperate on ETKA... What is strange tho is that my ABS G60 had a new MC at 60k miles and on the service reciept I have the part number starting 357... £67.42+vat Pickard1, you'll be really confused now!! I'll try and physically get the part number off the one on my car, it maybe that they ordered the non ABS one for you as its not clear on ETKA that there is a different part for ABS cars - now wondering if the one on mine is the correct part!

Have a look in the partsclub doc in the suppliers section - thats might help... or confuse you more!
