Back bumper is just 4 bolts, don't drive it without the front bumper - it's structural!

Probably, all the original ones I've seen have the Vin on the primer but it may have just been Karmann forgetting to tape over the Vin before it was sprayed - they weren't that on the ball when it came to consistency and quality control...

Hmmm, I've been looking into this also and fairly sure the usual Brembo's / Porsche conversions won't fit under... There was a company mentioned on here a while ago who do 4 pots thats sit under the standard speedlines, can't remember the name but Kevhaywire will probably recall it... What offset are you running?

Have you tested the alternator?? You should get at least 14v across the battery with the engine running..

Cool, good explanation Henny, so It only comes into play when starting up?? Reason I asked question was it's the only relay that looks a bit suspect as the writing has worn away (as if it's got to hot at some point) but I think it's fine...

Also the G60's with the 4 cables near the gearstick should also be able to transmit blink fault codes to a 12v LED test lamp... I havn't managed to successfully test this yet as I have an SNS chip and this does not store the codes but from what i've read, on the left hand plug I have a yellow and a grey wire, one is for rapid data transfer (ie VAG.COM) and the other for blink codes...

Yeah, sounds about right for a major service, especially as that includes £65 worth of plugs but as already said you'd get alot more for your money at Stealth... Also bare in mind that 80k is the mileage where alot of stuff needs doing if its only had VW 'inspections' up until now so i'd also budget a bit more on top of that price for anything else they find...

Check the earth to the lambda (nut next to the plug near the rear engine mount) Still got probs with mine, still not sure what the problem is but learning loads!
