New cable I reckon dude, there is also a rubber grommet you might want to check where the cable goes thru into the cabin... may also be the throttle butterfly itself sticking...

I wouldn't think its a fuse or relay as they work for the alarm, must be something up with the switch gear etc... 99MPG - check your vacuum hoses! - what engine is it?

Yep, I think VW still sell them and shouldn't be too expensive, If not maybe try GPC... Welcome to the Forum by the way!

I wouldn't think its a good idea... Probably disconected as it's faulty - new ones are £45 from VW and must be torque'd up to 15Nm.

Yep, heard of quite a few people now having Jabba chargers go less than 20k's after a rebuild, this is because they only change half the bearings!!

Yep, pull it out, make sure the engine is cold and the new one goes in with an O ring...

Guys those handles are just off a mk3.5 cab, they are only £7 each from VW but do not fit the Corrado anyway! Good upgrade for a mk3 Golf tho...

Bad earth maybe on the dash side of things... does the hazzard switch work them as well as the alarm??

Check the parts club document in suppliers section, yours maybe different being a later car.

If the charger has done more than 50k miles or is over 5 years old then you should rebuild before using a smaller pulley!

I have also heard this does serious damage to VW engines, particuarly the seals and gaskets...
