What was the 'small' problem?? - could be ignition switch of fuel pump...
-
2 weeks late! - 'Geoff' sounds like a bit of a fuckwit to me - He should know that that part is renowned for breaking when fitting cams - infact i'd say it's something that should always be changed, for a so called 'speciallist' what a bunch of muppets! - If a new Shrick was faulty they should be charging Shrick the labour cost not you! I would rather give my car to Kwikfit that these idiots especially after seeing a certain Seat Ibiza down at Stealth... adambob, Glad you got it sorted in the end!

I think so, nothing major anyways You will need some spline keys/sockets tho...
-
You may have a airlock in the cooling system causing the blue temp sender not to read properly... or it may just be faulty?? Was anything else done at the same time as the waterpump?
-
Good call - didn't realise that!
-
Have a look in the parts club prices thread in the suppliers forum - I have just updated the document!

It took me and a mate 5 hous to take the whole interior out leaving just the dash and front seats... I guess you could get the lining out on its own by loosening the pillar trims, undoing seatbelts, taking off sunroof switch, visors, handle etc... The only difficult bit is getting those coat hooks off, they unclip and slide upwards... -
More likely to be a broken plastic sender on the cam (the bit the CPS takes it's signal from)
-
Nice one Dave, I have the guages - can you list what other parts I will need or is it the same as above?

Just wanted to revive this! - I have the headlining out of my car at the moment and also want to paint it black if posible... Banana man - is it still looking ok, is the stuff you mentioned the best to get?? Has anyone else tried this as well.....? -
Ok guys, I can see this has gone a bit wrong and I think we will need to come up with strict rules for future group buys like everyone posts on the forum first and a list is made before PM's are sent to the organiser... In this case I think Eric has done the only thing he can do and offered the last set on a first come basis.... I think this is a situation where the 'PM sent' posts become quite useful...

Sounds like the timing was out if you noticed an increase in power...

Think of older cars with a manual choke, the fast idle allows them to start up from cold more consistently and warm the engine up quicker... Mine always starts up at 1000 from cold and drops to 700 in a minute or so

ABS was meant to be standard on all RHD G60's but they had supply problems so it became on optional extra, I'm fairly sure all the late cars had it as standard.

Yep, you need a shorter belt when fitting a smaller pulley, look on the G-werks site or info, Darren sells them for about £20
