  1. Yeah, good call - put it up manually the drive the car and see if it comes down as you stop...
  2. Yep, I doubt its the clutch itself but if the car is on high mileage then it may benifit from being changed but may still have the same problems if it is hydraulic, which it most likely is if the bite point has dropped (towards the floor) The PAS res is £15 from the dealer but check its that thats leaking and not the pipe to it... I'd get the brake fluid changed and a new slave cylinder first off...
  3. You'll need to plug it into VAG.COM to find out what is causing the problem, If it happened since the clutch tho I would take it back to the garage and get them to sort it!
  4. Correct and you can swap the plugs over to test if you think ones not working...
  5. Top of the red roughly - I always run mine from full to red and put about £60 litres in...
  6. try bleeding they system, run the car with the cap off and squeeze the hoses to get the air out of the system, topping up if needed...
  7. It could be one of many tho mate - there all 'impulse' senders
  8. Good man - nice to know your prioritys are right!
  9. Oh yeah - If you order the Oil from Delta (Redline) you need 2 bottles (quarts) and mention this forum for a discount...
  10. I think the VR one is just more heavy duty! Vince at Stealth reckons the standard ones are fine for most cars and the sporting ones will only make a difference if your pushing out mega bhp!
  11. Don't forget the flowers... :D
  12. Did you set the rear calipers up - ie use the winback tool to actually move the piston inwards so there is only 1mm max between both pads and the disk?? Also I thought you had to use VAG COM to bleed the ABS pump as there was a special procedure...
  13. Welcome to the forum.... Could be a few things, shifter allignment, stretched gear cables, sloppy engine/gearbox mounts, syncro's... Is the clutch ok (not biting low to the carpet?) good starting point would be to get the gearbox oil changed to some redline mt90 (http://www.redlineoil.co.uk) and check the mounts...
  14. Yeah, they only have green ones but they can be painted!
  15. I here a click from the dash area when i reach 45mph and it goes up so it must be down there somwwhere....
  16. Ok, there are no 'sets' left... You will need two of the arms listed above and the blade, for best fitment you want to get the passenger blade (part number ends in 425 instead of 426) and fit that to the drivers side of the corrado... So the whole lot should come to roughly £82 + VAT (Just under £100)
  17. Yeah, they close at lunchtime - try monday afternoon as they will be busy first thing... Fair enough the head may benifit from a rebuild at that mileage but I'd get it in there for a look first to see if there are any other problems....
  18. Thats quite drastic! - I'd get it checked out first by a reputable specialist like Stealth Racing...
  19. Fair enough but i've also heard that you will loose 7hp by Blu-tacking a VR6 badge to a Shrick Manifold....
  20. Yep, Graham at Stealth (ex-Bentley) looks at VR's all day long, he could probably build one with his eyes shut.
  21. The dealers will have these in stock as do GSF... You can try swapping the blue and black plugs round to isolate the problem (ie check it is the BTS) - I would change them both anyway while your at it (same age and all that)
  22. kebabman, Is it a VR6?? You want to clear the codes then go for a run and see if they come up again, you may find that a new O2 sensor will also sort the Idle Adaption error (I was speaking to Vince from Stealth about that and he says that one is normally caused by other thing not working so best to change those first and then rescan)
  23. The reserve should be 10 litres / 2 gallons roughly... The reason for it is that it is not good to go below the reserve reguarly as the fuel pump is under more strain lifting and you don't want to suck up any grit at the bottom of the tank - it also uses fuel for heat dispersion, lubrication and sound deadening.
  24. Yeah there fine, you need to get the gasket seperatly
