lol! I was actually meaning from a sound-proofing point of view but the car did feel a bit quicker with just the 2 front seats and dash... I have another 'test' tomorrow am... BTW - It's very easy to strip the interior, It took me 5 hours with a bit of help from my mate (you need someone to speak to while your their or you just loose motivation and get bored!)

Stripping out my G60 interior today ready to go into the bodyshop tomorrow... Me and a mate were discussing how bad the sound proofing was and how thin the door cards were etc but when we'd finished I decided to go out for a drive for a laugh to see the difference... Jesus, it may now look much but those thin door cards, plastic panels and a few bits of carpet and foam make a HUGE difference!!! I'm still planing to use vast amounts of silicone and dynamat when i get it back tho!

Yep, I think they all did and if the MFA button is there it should work... Maybe a faulty switch as I take it a fuse would take out the whole clocks??

Crispo, Wlecome to the forum! First check your window is closing fully and the seals look ok... then you might want to check the sunroof drain channels, open the roof (slide) and then use a bike gear cable or guitar string etc to check they are clear, they come out by the wheel arches

Yeah - just look for allen bolts round the centre, if they're there then its using a boss so in theory you could use it will a VW boss....

Ok, sounds like one of your springs may be broken or top mount knackered... Bassically you need a set of springs and shocks (have a read on hear about what people recomend) and you also want to replace the topmounts (mount and bearing) and bumpstops all round ..or you could go for a set of coilovers (which are height adjustable springs/shocks/bumpstops in one - you'll still need the top mounts)

rocca_vr6, Welcome to the forum... Sounds like you fan is only coming in at one stage, there should be 2 - its a common problem and the cure is to change the radiator thermoswitch between the top and bottom hoses (they are about £10)

You may want to check your fans are cutting in at BOTH speeds, if not then you'll need a new thermoswitch!

No one will do a one month policy cheap but a few places do a policy with a 4 week no quible cancelation period then only charge you for that one month - so in effect you would be getting a better price paying one 12th/13th of the full year price

Is it dead on all speeds?? If it works on 4 then its a problem with te resistor pack, If not at all then it look for a fuse then check the switch etc before spending and wonga...

Other side of the engine but you may want to get the cam chains replaced with the cambelt...
