  1. Yeah Ford parts prices don't really match the price of cars - service kits from Ford are generally twice the price of VW!
  2. Rolex Explorer 1 - had it for years and love it, so understated... http://www.watchwallpapers.com/exprev.htm
  3. Also worth saying it's probably a good idea to change the shocks too, especially when wheel alignment costs the best part of £100 these days!
  4. I think it's the case of if it's not working and potentially faulty then it could lock the steering while you're driving. Indicators - my mums Golf failed a couple of years ago as the side repeaters were not orange - just the bulbs had lost there coating with age
  5. Put me down for Stanford please Eric!
  6. Yeah = worth checking the earth is clean as the ECU sensors need a reference ground. Also the ECU is unplugged for the clutch change so worth reseating the plug with some WD40
  7. As above, could be several things like coil pack or lambda failure.
  8. Might be best to spray some WD40 in there now... As per the manual you really need to remove headlights for bulb changes
  9. Are you after a coilpack too?? :-) Welcome to the CF!
  10. Yeah it's on ETKA I think Andy... Remember to disconnect the battery when you change it ;-)
  11. Might have just blown the voltage reg in the clocks which can be replaced fairly easily...

  13. Things to check - fluid level and colour (should be transparent green) - if it's black then needs changing (£5 from VW for Fluid) - Belt condition and tension - again cheap to change - Belt splash shield fitted - Tyre pressures and condition of Track rod ends
  14. If you search on here using the title of this thread there is quite a lot of good info - this for example... http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?36921-Corrado-Lambda-Sensors-Bosch-Part-Numbers&highlight=g60+lambda+part+number
  15. Those wheels look fantastic on a green car!
  16. Not with the engine running as you have the resistance of the car...
  17. Yeah good shout - paint also doesn't help on the carriers - you may need to lightly sand the edge where the 'wings' of the pad sit. I'd also push the caliper piston in a bit to check it's not jamed too, give the pads a sand if they have gone shiney from binding.

    F'kin Rust!

It's most likely to do with either not getting rid of it fully in the first place (usually bubbles up under the paint) Or a lack of paint coverage around the edge - seen lots of lazy work over the years where sprayers don't get the gun at the right angle to properly cover arch lips etc, or not even bothering to take wheels off or lift the car up so they can see what they're doing.
  19. Back to halfords mate and get them to test the car with the Bosch tester... alternator may be goosed!
  20. It could be the pads are not sliding free on the carriers - take them off, clean and re-grease...

    F'kin Rust!

Yeah it's just the sign of a poor job unfortunatly although water based paint doesn't help either... take it back!
