I wouldn't buy anything but genuine BMW for something like this - pattern bearings never last! -

ADY is Hitachi - this is the make of the Mass Air Sensor (MAS) as this engine uses a non-bosch injection / management system

Lol, It's in the instruction manual... All cars with electric windows but only the late cars get sunroof closure also as per the MK3 Golf.

Top mount scoring on spring plate. Got pictures.
Supercharged replied to JonnyG60's topic in Drivetrain
I think that plate is upside down but there is no spring stop... it's been a while since i've seen the old style top mounts but they shouldn't be rubbing like that! -

Has the fuel filter ever been changed? What about the ignition switch? -
All the same, it's only the hubs that are different, try to buy either Genuine VW or GKN - stay well clear of the cheapo ones on eBay!

Black Diamond Predator Brake Pads for 16v/G60/8V!!! Cheap!!
Supercharged replied to Philuk's topic in Ebay and Misc
I think that info's wrong too... they are Golf / Corrado 16V pads like these - http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=469 So should fit MK2 / MK3 / Corrado / Passat / Ibiza etc with 256mm discs with Lucas or Girling '54' calipers. -
All the same but motors changed from early to late interiors. You just need a repair kit from VW to fix.

Black Diamond Predator Brake Pads for 16v/G60/8V!!! Cheap!!
Supercharged replied to Philuk's topic in Ebay and Misc
They're not 288 type pads mate - they look like they are the thinner ones that fit 280 / 256 - ie standard pads for a 16V Corrado. -
If you've got that much to spend there's no point looking at budget brands - You should be able to get SportContact 3's for £300

Where does your temp gauge needle sit ?
Supercharged replied to Sideways Steve's topic in Engine Bay
Nice one! - it's good to have some feedback when problems are sorted... It should pretty much sit at 90 once warm, if it's getting near the 100 mark in traffic then you may also want to change the thermoswitch on the radiator too. -
Best to get one from VW if you can as they'll be the correct tensile strength (12.9) and don't corrode that easily... Nuts aren't actually nylock but you are meant to renew as they are oval.
