  1. Worth getting new banjo bolts and be very careful not to twist the pipes so use 2 spanners to undo.
  2. Very nice... I bought some of this while up at Glenfiddich earlier this year - https://shop.glenfiddich.com/products/Glenfiddich-Malt-Master%E2%80%99s-Edition-Sherry-Cask.html
  3. What car do you have?? The sensor VAGCOM refers to is for the ECU, the gauge one is seperate. I'd start by replacing the sensor and thermostat along with a coolant refresh.
  4. Kev - these might be of interest, this is what BMW use as OE clips in tank on Bikes - bit more secure that the spring type ones VAG do... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320782594283?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_1299wt_952
  5. Yeah, rack seals gone... ECP used to do exchange racks for around £100 - not sure what they are now though...
  6. Ha - lol, was it you Wendy?? Did you pull? ;-)
  7. If they don't go I'll take them for that...
  8. Who is this Car-Mann you speak of?
  9. ^lol! Plus 2 year parts and labour warranty!
  10. Genuine is the only way to go with these maate - nothing else lasts on a Corrado!
  11. 22 year old car! - I used to think it was good that they honored this in the UK for so long on the MK2... Well done Eric - especially as you've got no bl00dy VW badges on that car!!! ---------- Post added at 9:41 PM ---------- Previous post was at 9:38 PM ---------- UK Recalls here - http://www.dft.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recalls/searches/search.asp Also if you phone VW customer Services they are always pretty helpful!
  12. Yeah a bad battery can cause the ABS system to not be able to pressurise - VAGCOM would have thrown a fault about the battery voltage
  13. Also check you are hitting full throttle, ie the WOT switch is activated with the throttle to the floor... Should be making at least a Barr on a stage 4. Best was to check for leaks is to pressurize the system in some way with the engine off - I used an airline attached to the boost return blanking plate to do this.
  14. I'm seeing him tomorrow - I'll give him a Chinese burn! Be gentle though folks - he's only 14
  15. It's always been a 5-40 mate, silver is 10-40
  16. You need to check for 12V down the thick red/black wire to the starter - it's more likely to be the starter solenoid sticking in the hot weather... Have you got AA cover? - just get them out to diagnose.
  17. Are you using an engine (wing) support also?? I think you'll need to!
  18. Yeah, it replaced Gold and PD Diesel oil and it's what VW recommend for the Corrado on the oil tool thing but in reality it's a bit thin for our older engines, I'd only use this on a low mileage or fully rebuilt engine that's been run on fully synth from day one. Normal Synta silver is fine and cheaper too!
  19. No - don't worry, the new clips make a huge difference, they are really only meant to be used once!
