Lupo GTi front wiper conversion - See Page 23!!! for update
Supercharged replied to markTTC's topic in Exterior
I just ordered mine from the dealer, I just ordered the 2 arms which come with the blade fitted (part number 6X2 998 406) they should be able to get these in next day, I had to pay upfront, £35 inc VAT which would have been about the same as GPC with the postage on top. They said I could buy the other blade 'off the shelf' if needed. -
Yes I have got W6DPO's in mine but did have NGK's (but not the same part number as you Majik??) I have not noticed any difference in the performance but as G60 says they are the recomended plug and will probably last much longer. (I don't really mind paying £40 for a set of plugs that will last 40k miles)

Hehe, yeah, you'll invalidate your warranty! -
Yeah, I've heard of this before... (not with a corrado in particular) But a faulty Brake servo cauing problems (either vacumn or power related) The other thing I thought of, as its ok in N, is a faulty torque converter but I think this would require specialist knowledge of auto boxes to diagnose.

Hmm alot of people having probs with Koni's at the moment.... I wonder if some of them are caused by the couriers not keeping the dampers 'upright' when in transport. -
It sounds like the thermostat in the sandwich plate is not opening but you have already swapped it?? - maybe its the wrong part?

http://www.in-pro.com/ The front page looks a bit dodgy but it is the right site! -
Mike, I am truly sorry about this... I have told him i'm just not interested, he is now bringing his jelousy into the forum! It all started with me making a comment about liking the colour of his car  Seriously tho, Kev, you seem to be implying thst I am late everwhere??? - Which I am - everyday to work :? but never on a trip to Stealth's Racing Establishment!!
-
Yep, just don't park it on the breaks and leave handbrake off
-
I think coils should be used to provide low pass filtering in subs??
-
Thats a shame funky, seeing as you've organised it all... Can you not get a mate to drive your car up there for you??

Yes, the Scirrocco MK2 was built with Mk1 Golf parts and altho the Corrado was not a replacement for it, the do have the same Chassis number and the Corrado was based on the MK2 golf floor pan and is a hybrid with some MK2 and some MK3 parts (ie VR6 engine etc) They were built side by side in the Karmann factory for about 5 years, A freind of mine owns the 'Penultimate Scirrocco' which is a K plate, (mint bodywork and cost £850 ) He also owns a Vento VR6 also on a K and its funny how different they look only being produced a month or so apart. The last rocco is in the VW museum.

The spoiler uses different fuses depending on the car and its year, Just check them all but from the buzzing sound it sounds like a relay needs replacing

I did put up a list of parts prices and dealers who subscribe to the scheme in the servicing section

It was before I 'went digital' and this is the best pic i have, It gives you some idea tho... I'd say that from a metre away it looked like a late grill but as you got closer to it there was less texture but still looked like a proper factory finish...

I bought a Rallye front for a mk2 a few years ago, It was second hand and colour coded, to get it back to the original black I used a 500ml can of Satin Black available from Wilco's etc To prep, I just used some fine grade 800 wet and dry to take the shine off the paint but didn't go thru the paint at all, I then cleaned it well and let it get completly dry before spraying evenly with the satin black, It was a nice hot day so I did it all at once but the paint was drying very quickly! - I put on an equivelent of 3 coats If you choose a nice still day or have a good light garage to work in and take your time the finish will look like an original grill - I sold mine after a year (got pissed of wwith the poor lighting) but it showed no signs of flaking or chipping - without the use of a laquer! As yours is unpainted plastic a good shop will be able to advise you about which primer to use, may also want to sand the surface to give the paint a key to stick to

Yes! your right, did a bit more reading - apparently its been widely available in Europe for the last couple of years, as ever the UK are still waiting! It will be interesting what shell do now with the new BP juice coming out as they are currently advertising Optimax as the Highest RON fuel available in the UK.

The fuel filter on a G60 is another one of those things that VW never change on a service! - being what it is, a filter, I cannot see how its expected to last 'forever' - not sure about the other models but I'm going to change mine soon I think for the sake of a fiver!
