  1. Plastic arch liner screws/bolts missing?
  2. I don't think any mk2 wheels fit the mk3?? - as far as I know only mk2 and corrado are compatible....
  3. Could be any of the above you mentioned plus more... first off I would get it plugged into VAGCOM to do a diagnostic check.
  4. You could also put an extra washer between the arm and the spindle and also bend the arm slightly, these with the dremmel will make a huge improvement but still not as much as the lupo mod!! Anyways - the Lupo arms are starting to look standard spec now so many people have them fitted, I must admit I wasn't too keen when I first saw them on a car but love them now :) If you use the car as a daily driver this is one of the best and cheapest mods to do!
  5. Try Trimsport or Awesome Gti Store...
  6. Yeah, I'm pretty sure my motor was shot when it took out the resister, it was still whinning when I got the new rheostat so I used one out of a golf...

    Screen blower

I don't think so as its the only car of that age to have a 4spd setting, the mk3 is alot different. I managed to get a corrado from a scrappy for a £10er...

Its bonded - and like the Rallaye adds structual strength to the chassis

Don't think any C's came with Pollen filters??
  10. Maybe thats the problem - The exhaust is feeding the charger LOL
  11. Also... they go in alot easier if they are adjusted so you are sitting as close to the floor as pos. You may want to clean and re-grease the runners before you refit (they get covered in grit over time) - dont use too much grease tho as it will end up all over the carpets! Also check the plastic/rubber clips on the seat (that go into the runners and allows the seat to slide back and forth, these wear out and arn't expensive to replace (inner and outer ones are seperate parts)
  12. Does the 2.0 8v count as an engine tho??? - I drove one once and was overtaken by a Bus, 2 Lorrys, 4 cylists, a Kid on a skate board and had 2 traffic wardens trying to give me a parking ticket when I was going flat out!
  13. The 16v ones are over £120, obviously the VR6 ones are cheaper and 8v cheaper still... have a look on the C&R website.
  14. Unlikely but it also could be a very late registered 1.8, if so it would have the early body / interior and so on.... I think what Jim says is more likely - it is just a 2.0 - but then again, doesn't it say the engine size on the manifold??
  15. And that is why you don't get tyres with a lifetime guarantee!! yet my Powerflow stainless steel exhaust system does as its well built and not expected to rust or wear out.
  16. Ehhh ???? - surely a lifetime garantee applies to the purchaser of the product or at least means the lifetime of the car its fitted to!!
  17. Basically renewing all the bearings, seals and the internal pulley in the charger... They can also be rebuilt to higher specs, ie porting, special coatings applied, smaller pulleys etc
  18. The calipers will fit straight onto the existing carriers, the lines will need to be changed also because of the connection on the mk4 is different.
  19. But not as good as the mk4 which are alloy and WON'T seize!
  20. Nah, just use any old bit of wire or a coat-hanger pehaps?
  21. VW (Partsclub) do the 65A BOSCH one for £70
  22. Rpmayne, what make of disc's and pads are you using? - If the discs are only 6 months old take them back and maybe try a different brand (Ate and Pagid are recomended), Pads should be ok if there not very worn and the wear is even, give them a sand before putting them back on... Then again, if the pads are shiny all over and you think the compound being to hard has maybe damaged the disks, get some new ones anyway, I recomend Pagid Fast roaders (fronts for VR6/G60 are about £20 from GSF)
  23. Must be the effects of 1500 posts in 6 months... poor lad needs help :?
  24. VW did do some 15" steel wheels for the Ralleye...
