  1. Been thinking about this for a while, its the one thing I have missed from my old Bora - just bought an armrest off E-Bay, seems like a decent mod
  2. Green Storm in Midhurst about 4.40 this afternoon - looked like it needed some TLC
  3. Clearly one persons stupid is another mans trust

    Golf GT

Believe the supercharger in the GT is made by Eaton
  5. Great photo isn't it. Think the suggested pricing is all wrong - all mass market coupes are more expensive than their base vehicles, if the R32 is priced from 23k then any equivalent coupe must surely be priced from circa 25k and not the 22k that Autocar are saying. Be interesting to see what happens
  6. I do approx 1000 miles per week in my Aqua Blue G60 - just gone past 137k - I chose to opt out and even allowing for maintenance costs I'm still quids in - I do have a rolling programme of preventative maintenance but its all budgeted for, keeps the car reliable etc etc
  7. Puma Racing - running costs comparable to a Rado too - very rare, gorgeous looking, probably the best fwd chassis of all time (especially with the LSD option)
  8. Or the people you flash to move over, they panic and move then as soon as you go past they go straight back into the middle lane and flash their lights at you. I find the new 5 lane stretch of the M25 comical, you can actually see peoples minds whirring to work out where the middle lane is so they can hog it. All you have now are the inside two lanes empty - surely educating / prosecuting people to promote better lane discipline would be cheaper than building more lanes I have a couple of motorway police officers in the family and they say that they could easily book people for driving without due care and attention but have been advised that they do not want to create anti-police sentiments - whats with speed cameras then !!!!!! I do find German drivers almost as bad as the British on 3 lane motorways, great lane discipline on 2 lane motorways but chronic middle lane hoggers when it comes to 3 laners
  9. ....why only for a week, middle lane hogging causes more frustration and I would imagine accidents than anything else on the roads http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/news/defau ... ryId=12067
  10. Checked with a dealer I was in today and Volkswagen UK have not yet released any info on the Polo GTi to the network - they looked at me as if I was stupid when I asked for details of spec and pricing. After the lack of sales for the last Polo GTi it is not beyond realms of possibility that it might not even make it to the UK.
  11. Planning to visit the Zonda factory next year - give me one of those over any current Ferrari, Porsche, Lambo etc
  12. Love the translation - very amusing
  13. Or even better the 1.4 FSi Twincharge unit
  14. Typical VW arrogance that people are prepared to pay more for the VW badge, I personally don't think that there is a current VW that can justify a premium over the equivalent Ford / Poxall etc
  15. Love to see something like that from VW but with their current flabby, overweight and generic designs (much like most European manufacturers) I doubt it will happen. With Porshe taking a 20% stake in VW why can't we have a production version of the Concept R based on the Boxster platform - that would be a worthy successor to the Rado
  16. Think thats a Photoshop, glasshouse looks identical to the AM Vantage
  17. Word is that it will be closer to 17k, the TDi Sport is already above 15k, looks like another over-priced VW - at 15k I would seriously consider one. If its around the 17k mark I'd take the new Octavia vRS at the same money
  18. Never had any problems either and I'm sure that anyone who has had problems subsequent to having had work done would be sorted out as a priority - for him to be able to sort a problem out he first needs to be made aware of it As a measure of my confidence in his work I just give him a blank signed cheque whenever I drop my car off - have dealt with lots of specialists and never felt that comfortable before.
  19. Homebase and B+Q Warehouse usually have a reasonable selection of meshes

    Corrado Storm

My Puma Racings all had their build numbers cast on the inlet manifold, it was a nice touch but then again the mods that they went through and the money they charged for them they needed to be easily identifiable
  21. This is how it will look out of the factory Surprising that they are using the old 1.8T engine but at least it is easily tuneable - would have been good with the 1.4 Twincharge lump. I will look at one closely when they become available, could be a real pocket rocket
  22. Seriously thinking about an Aquamist kit once my toothed belt drive is fitted
  23. If a TVR interior can be made to fit a Rado I'm sure an Alfa V6 would be feasible - like most things I suppose it depends how much time is available and how deep the pockets are
