  1. Can't believe the price....got em fitted from event mobile tyre fitters, can't fault them on anything. what's the longevity of the tyres like?
  2. Some gratuitous pics of mine from DC09: passat climatronic wiring diags.pdf1 dc09.jpg.JPG[/attachment:21u19zlo] climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdf2 dc09.jpg.JPG[/attachment:21u19zlo] 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdf3 dc09.jpg.JPG[/attachment:21u19zlo] 4 dc09.jpg.JPG[/attachment:21u19zlo] After 2 years of being static, really enjoying just using the car again. Been a busy week, went round the car checking literally every bolt to ensure it had not worked its way loose, had new tyres fitted and started prepping my alloys for a refurb. Also had fun testing the new tyres :D weird sensation with the 4wd on MKs roundabout, if you chuck it round the roundabouts you can really feel the rear wheels dig in and push. Overall the car is pretty docile, missus is still scared to drive it tho :D
  3. Just had my front tyres (pirelli nero) replaced with some Kumho KU31 (205/40/17) x 2 £110 fitted 8) The differnce is has made is night and day, the car feels a million times better, doesn't pull or wander randomly any more. Really have to rate the Kumhos...anyone else running these? The guy who fitted them swore by em too, apparently all the rage for racing in Japan??
  4. Have VT mounts all round and have notice no difference TBH LOL The above one looks ok, personally I would put a slither of good quality rubber between that mount and the engine mount. Just my opinion tho :D
  5. Tesco was 104.9 last time I filled up. Some info on Tesco stuff: http://www.greenergy.com/tesco_99_octane/index.html
  6. What the f***! crap luck mate...could have been a lot worse. How can it open with the centre catch and bonnet pins holding it? Were the catches faulty??
  7. Try Tescos premium unleaded...99 ron!!!! feckin awsome! Know quite a few peeps on the bmw forum and porsche forum that run it too 8)
  8. Luvvly jubbly! 8) Pics make it look all too easy LOL
  9. Just read your whole thread mate....feel gutted for you as this would be my worst nightmare :( Looks like she took a real whack....do you have an agreed valaution?
  10. really lovin the colour! Lights look OK, maybe smoked M3 style would look better tho?
  11. Nice seats...haven't seen that pattern before 8)
  12. Thanks, Sorry I had to shoot off...the heat was too much! Nice rado, didn't notice the black roof  LOL, noticed all the other mods tho...very nice. Yep should be at inters, probably the Sunday. Will keep an eye out for you, I should be on the Corrado Club stand. As for driving...its pretty boring LOL Yet to wheel spin it....although I did manage to blow off a boost hose and murray clamp the other day, really freaked the missus out LOL Went back for the murray clamp and found it in the middle of the road tho! :D Regards Sukh
  13. Are you running coilovers mate? With ET35 are you not getting rubbage on the inside of the tyre against the suspension?
  14. Think the dudes busy with his Rallye now LOL
  15. OK cool, I'm using the mk3 golf one, it has an idle screw but its still lumpy from cold. i'd try and minimise the joints on your boost pipework, managed to blow one of my boost pipes of the intercooler today...even though it has bloody expensive murray clamps!
  16. Looks fookin clean mate! What intercooler you running? What throttle are you running and is there any adjustment for idling on that?
  17. Just paid for a 4 wheel laser alignment...thought they would have been straight LOL unless its a design feature of the C?
  18. had it done a few weeks back......just had a good look at the front wheels and thy seem to be pointing outwards at different angles??? suspension has not been touched since the laser alignment  are the wheels suppose to be slightly outwards facing??? Cheers
  19. Use one of the cam cover bolts to hold the bracket, nearest to the original position I guess. According to vagcat its on the back of the head on the G60.
  20. Gonna be a bitch to fit due to the natutre of how the turbo is hung under the manifold :(
  21. Thinks yours will be slightly different to mine, as I had an afterun pump (which I never had)
  22. If you had the 16v lump it was mounted via one of the rocker cover bolts to a little stubby sensor, located on the corner of the rocker cover near the alternator, had a single wire connector. Basically just turned on the fans (separate to the 3 pin switch in the rad) after ignition was turned off to help keep all the bits and bobs cool. Basically I was looking to change mine for the g60 stubby sensor which requires the 'engine head' temp to be 90c or below.
  23. LOL - always the way!
  24. Nice work mate! 8) Are you mounting three oil pressure sensors? as the original housing has 2 mounting points?
