Thanks very much Gents.. I couldn't be happier with the Nothelles..
-
Cheers guys! :thumb right:Would the Solitudes clear 288 brakes?
They do..

Well done on the MOT Goldie although I'm sure it would have been hard to find fault with it!I hate MOTs, the guy was sound though which always makes the experience far better..
Couple of new pictures as taken by Jim at Elsecar, first decent shots I've seen with the Nothelle wheels on. They really look so much better in reality..
On a sad note 2 litre Peter decided he fancied a new clutch the other day so thats a little job for next week...

Wheels refurbishing - BJV Engineering - they are the ones I have used before and I agree VR6 South - excellent work. Now I had the name I could check back easily - In 2012 I paid £168 for my Speedlines.
Although prices will have gone up, it won't be some of the silly prices I have had quoted today - hopefully !!
Thanks again everyone. :-)
I had a wheel done there with Martin (VR6 South) a number of years ago and it was a quality job..

Ive put the direct link on page 1...

The thanks are for you. It was you that found them.

Their page. One postage charge per order.
-
They were at one point 80 each and they didn't sell.. I think its just because we didn't know about them. I would imagine his stock will be dented now though.
-
£108 a wheel, goodness... Should be 50/60 quid max..
-
These are now sold..
-
Ok.. Just to reinforce with Si has said above.
I ordered three sets. These are genuine, correct VW Audi markings with date marks. Serial numbers on underside mirror casing is same as my ones fitted to the car (see pictures). Plugs also carry correct markings so I'm happy that we are buying the real deal.
Pictures:
Links for Left hand and right hand drive variants. Apart from the obvious colour difference the supplier (and me) don't know what the difference is.
The guy i spoke to is called Nick Sparrow should you have any questions but to be honest what else is there to know?
Maybe worth sticking in suppliers for future reference please Mods..

Bad news
Postman delivered but I did get home in time. Verdict early tomorrow afternoon.

Erm... Good question Steve...

They seem a quite interesting company, has anyone considered them for the roof mouldings?I cant get my head around whether they manufacture parts themselves or whether it is off the shelf stuff they have from VAG group?
Let us know how you get on with them when they arrive Michael. Im very interested in these also.
Dougie
The stuff i was asking about is sourced from VW..

Doesn't take too much detective work... Down the road from me in Wallingford.Absolutely. A good oldfashioned telephone call and we could all have more mirror glasses than we could ever need.
-
Ill post he link when I'm happy with the mirrors.
I asked if they have anything else corrado. Denied.

If the service is anything to go by then we are onto a winner.. I have been sent the links for direct purchase but until i have seen the merchandise and am happy ill reserve judgment...

Remanufactured brake lines (x4)
I have spare 4 of the 6 remanufactured brake lines that were offered on the forum.
The 4 i have is the two full length of the car and the OS and NS lines. The two full length ones are 80 quid so you get the other two cheap..
The original kit of 6 which has the 2 that go to the master cylinder cost around 225 and he can supply individual lines as needed..
I don't have time to post these. I drive to Durham from Glasgow wednesday so happy to meet, drop off then or drive Durham to Portsmouth on the 10th May and happy to meet drop off then..
Any questions please ask..
List Date: 4/13/2015

They were block bought to be supplied to another company that went bust. No prizes for guessing who that could be.

Im very surprised there haven't been any comments about these. Im assuming that like myself people think too good to be true..
Well, i phoned the company and they will be posting up on their web page a direct link to buy a pair for the posted price of one, so 36 a side plus 12 postage..
The mirrors are complete and genuine i.e. primed casing, motor, heated glass, wiring, door gasket..
Mine arrive tomorrow so will confirm that they are as good as they sound..
So hold off from buying from eBay for now. Also their stock is large (far more than the 10 quoted) so unless you want to buy several hundred mirrors you cant corner the market...
LINKS FOR LEFT HAND AND RIGHT HAND DRIVE VARIANTS. APART FROM THE OBVIOUS COLOUR DIFFERENCE THE SUPPLIER (AND ME) DON'T KNOW WHAT THE DIFFERENCE IS.

The fluid level is steady and pedal operates as normal both on depression and release.
Very much looking like it isn't a hydraulic issue.
Looked through the history for the car and no evidence that it has been changed and the history is comprehensive so have to believe its 165k old.
Opinions on value please

Is it worth asking Crazy Quiff? Even just for a ball park figure..
