  1. Tough one this, youll be on "mates rates" so maybe a case of beer.. Find out how long hes been on with it will give you a better idea...
  2. How have you got through so many Rados Walesy?? How many you had?
  3. Thanks to Riley for the clay bar kit... Arrived quickly, happy days, ta very much...
  4. Right... Have made an attempt at doing this.. Couple of questions.. My crank pulley diesnt have any marks on it which obviously isnt ideal so am i correct to think that im at No 1 piston TDC when the slot at the Airbox end of the cam is horizontal (in line with the head) and that the line and marking OT1 is facing up.. Is the correct stroke of the cycle i need??? Anyway the job was going well, removed manifold etc etc and now i cant get the top timing chain cover off. All of the allen studs wont budge as they are round, not a happy shopper to say the least!!!!
  5. Excluding poeple who have Rados to break and sell on you must have had more than anyone...
  6. You had enough Rados then Andy, quite a collection youve had there... Liking the rims, gonna look great when the calipers are sorted. Whats next for the millionth Rado????
  7. The stuff i used was in a tin, no hardener required... Just get a set of cheapie paint brushes..
  8. Ive had peep through it and the closest i can find is timing chain replacement guide.... How you finding the car with the mani and cams, mine should be all together by next week and then its save up for the remap time..
  9. Mine are red, have a click on the gallery in my signature, there a pic somehwere in there of my 288s with the wheel off. I ues Halfords paint and have found it really good, build up plenty of coats and they come out looking like the paint has been poured on them...
  10. Im going to be taking this on at the weekend... Is there a Guide anywhere for doing this just for some extra info....
  11. Goldie

    new fogs

That looks great, where you gonna put the indicators?
  12. In a years time my Job will take me to Faslane so mine will be around that area and heading along the M74 from time to time....
  13. Welcome to the forum, you got any plans for it???
  14. Me and VR6-south went to BJV with a set of Polo GTI split rims, a set of speedlines and my Solitude that had a chunk missing... They took a couple of day longer than expected as the solitude had a paint defect on it when coming from the oven... We collected them and are both very happy with the results and the price, i paid 35 auid and it was a mess when it went in... Got to admit there is one guy who works there who isnt the most cheerfull......
  15. Got to be US, ill send you some details of the guy who supplies them.... PM on root
  16. Ive just a put a one on from a US spec Honda S2000, i wouldnt have a scooby about connections or anything though mate...
  17. Not very big... Agree about TDI, i used to have a Leon and it was quality...
  18. Depending on the garages rates id imagine about an hour and halfs labour....
  19. The parts are about 40 quid, including the housing, new bolts gaskets etc.... Id suggest doing it yourself.... Theres a good guide on here..
  20. I have every intention of doing so, i just need a cheap car, not bothered if its VAG, TBH it may be best if its not and then ill not fiddle with it.. Im gonna let me insurance finish which is in August and then move it to someone else with limited miles and get a work horse...
  21. Speak to alex303 and Corozin, i think they both have them...
  22. Rear lights - i striped mine to avoid any other of the carry on with changing the bulbs, dont overspray them and they should be ok. Use savage tinting spray which is available on ebay. After painting give them a good coat of lacquer to make them nice and shiny and it should make them last longer.. There is a guide in the Wiki... Ive just got a Schrick and have milled the logo off. I had every intention of polishing the whole thing but it is too porous, for a perfect finish i reckon itll have to be powder coated and then polished....
  23. My plan is to end the recent spedning spree on the Rado and look to get something around August/September time, i dont really mind what it is but it cant be too small as itll ahve to ensure the 330 mile home and i dont fancy that in a 1.1!!! It does get to that stage though Rob, its not just them getting dirty, its the miles, not wanting to leave it anywhere as well which isnt ideal...
  24. Ive started getting a lift when i do go home so the long journeys are being kept to a minimum.... Im approaching the stage of needing another car though Steve, i dont want to use it unless its for driving enjoyment not going to the shops etc...
