What interior are you wanting to put in your car?? I have heard that Ford Recaros go in but need alterations to work. As for rears i cant think of any that would look as good as the standard...

You should be getting a fan earlier than 100 degrees... Try disconnencting the lead going to the thermoswitch in the radiator and bridging the connections, fan should start automatically (mine dont). The fan are belt driven together, i believe you should get speed 1 at about 92 degrees, speed 2 at 102 degrees and the meergency kicks in at 110. If your car is running at 100 degrees then your stat is nt openning far enough (yet again like mine). Does it cool down on the motorway or stay at 100 degrees??

That why i thought id put all this up as it seems to always be the same probs with VR cooling and no definite answers given... Are you getting the fans or have you got the Stat problem or have you won th star prize like me and got both??

Nope the late spec VR is the Golf from 95 to 98, yours will have 280mm discs upront...

You to Gav, i dunno bout the discs, the pads are totaly different though..

The carriers are different on the 288s to the 280s and are specific to the caliper..

I wouldnt bother replacing it, its for location purposes only, the disc is held on by the weight of the wheel when bolted on...
