    Ive not been able to get a spare wheel or my mates car so am gonna let you down again - if you want to get yours sorted im not offended... I may have to go home early next week to attend a funeral so its all against me..... We will DEFINITELY do them when i get back, i promise!!!!     When you get them off bin them as they are w**k.... THey corrode and just crumble and then its a nightmere, its possible to knock a socket over them if you get stuck...

    I was wondering about this... Ive got one where the leathers is shot and another where the top badge isnt good, can they be removed easily?? I reckon it may be easier for you to get a knob where the leather is damaged....

    To attach it to the ring, i dont know whether you can, it may be knackered. The ring on my gaitor is metal and it looks (from memory) like the leather is inserted and then it is pressed....

    What do you need to know then khurrado, how to attach the leather to the metal ring at that top or at the plastic surround???

    I didnt think it was measured on engine size and was done in ppm pollution levels... My old Leon, 1.9 TDI was £115 for 12 months...

    Theres a plastic circlip under the leather that secures the knob to the gaitor...
