My mother hates cars and driving and my old man just like to tootle about... They both think the Corrado is awful, my dad had a go in it and thought it was too heavy, poor visiblity, bad driving position etc etc. Bascially all the reasons why buy them...

Youre making really good progress, its going to be like a new car when you are done... Id love to give mine this treatment in the coming years.. YOu have to paint them as they arent made by anyone..

I thought all Rados other than those with beige interiors had light grey headlining and visors as standard...

trudubrstu, yours sounds exactly the same as mine.. Incidently if i trhrash mine on the motorway it goes down to 90 degrees with the increased air flow....

Your oil temps seem ok to me trudubrstu, so what temp is your water at when your doing 70mph on the motorway?? gogsboy, shame you are so far away as id have helped put the stat in and worked out if it would help mine. The VR stat is stamped at 80 degrees and it should run at 90 degrees when the car is mving, if stationary then the fan should kick in about 94 and bring the temp back to 90, there should the be a further fan at just over 100 degrees and an emergency at 112.. That is my understanding anyway... So what i need to know is what temp is everyones VR running at when driving at 70mph...

What temop is stamped on the R32 stat?DOes it fit ion the standard housing? Where abouts are you gogsboy??

My original was replaced when fixing a leak, the replacement made the car run hot (100 degrees), its replacement made the car run cold (70 degrees). So today the original went back in and now im running at about 97ish degrees on the motorway.. the bottom hoes is indeed hot.. I was beginning to wonder that but as it ran at 70 degrees all the way from Pompey to durham it suggests the rad is ok..

I personally dont belive in foreign objects going in my tea...

Ok, put another stat in today, its the original one, that makes 3 in six days.. Car no runs between 90 and 100 degrees water which is too hot, again!! Oil temps seem perfectly fine at just over 100.. This stat used to run at 90 on motorway drives and today it is sitting at more like 98... Not really the outcome i was wanting....

I do hope that wasnt the milk going in first... I was led to believe the proper way to make tea was: Tea, then sugar (if needed) and the milk last....

So when you did this Nick how did your fans come back to life?? Mine is the original pump so i reckon it may be worth changing it anyway.

How much is cheap enough?? Would it be a case of remove the filter box, jack the engine up and then undo it??

Interesting stuff nickeboy, this is a check i havent done... I am right to say its on the left hand side of the block looking under the bonnet? Is it easy to open and check it? How much was a replacement? Thanks for your help...

Have you got another 95 storm i can try please????? :D Im up north at the minute but will be at the May no rice.. I think the bits i need to try is another fan motor itself and a load of the cables, nightmere.....

Ive yet to try it Nikki, the stat me and Dan out in has made the car run too cold so the plan is to change that (3rd stat in a week) and then with Jimmis guidance am going to try and sort the fan side of the problem out.. If it doesnt change anything ill post it back to you so you can sell it on.. If it does work then i owe you the going rate. I appreciate the loan of it, i reckon the problem is onlt gonna get sorted by trying bits until it goes.....

I did mate.Its no good for my car, its got a different number of connections.. Its in my garage in Pompey, soon as a i get back ill bring it back..

Ive typed SPAL into ebay and there are loads of them.. Is there a particular type i should be looking at and how does it connect the original plug???

That sounds like mine... Can anyone recommend anywhere that can sort them out, tidy up the install and get them running properly???

Im approaching a smiliar crossroads myself.. I know that all the major components of my system work and have problems with relays.. If you do take it all out id be interested in taking it off your hands to see if i can get mine to work reliably...
