  1. There were some very nice cars including Macdaddys car from here, he was robbed for 2nd but thats another story.. Here is one from today..
  2. I did a super car experience earlier in the year, all on the road.. The cast, Ferrari 360 Spider manual, Ford Focus RS with 400hp, Aston Martin DB9 Volante, Porsche 911 Turbo S, Lotus Evora.. Very interesting day, Ferrari great, Focus was a rocket but the pedals felt like a fiesta, the Aston was dreadful (i wanted to love it). The lotus felt so slow but that was simply down to how wonderful the 911 was, it was without a doubt the best car I've ever driven by a long way.. I now adore Porsches.. The guy also has a Lambo, R8 and an Atom that he brings along on other days and he says the Atom is ridiculous...
  3. I know the car from when it was a G60 and followed the almost ludicrous body restoration that Dan had done, I'm also confident that Josh will have pushed it firmly in the right direction so i think its worthy of the title.. Up to you to finish it off... I look forward to see where you are going to take it.. What happened to the TVR dash?
  4. Ah, it makes sense now, glad its joining a fantastic car...
  5. Id say sunny Dumbarton but then you'd know i was joking.. Welcome...
  6. Well i attended my first show in the Corrado today, good drive down to Preston, bit of a treck but as it would be my only chance fro ages o thought why not.. Great day, weather (excluding a 10 minute shower) spot on. Some of the cars were amazing.. Always nice to get some recognition and have some very nice compliments from people, both within and outside the VW community. Very pleased to have taken home best in class for 1990s, even though the judge called me Michelle!!!
  7. 800 quid, absolute bargain judging by the photos.. So long as all the very normal weak points on the Mk2 are ok then you are onto a winner..
  8. Cheeky VSR on the Reiger Corrado.. Love the idea of a 16v G60, I've no idea why as I've only been behind the wheel of a G60 once, i think its the rarity factor...
  9. That looks great Bill and i like the plate.. Wheels are the business...
  10. I had a bung on my old one and it never offended me at all.. Deleting repeaters - not on the to do list...
  11. Ive just had a little perusal through the last 5 pages or so and wow, this always clean Paul but this is next level stuff.. Absolute benchmark for proper restoration.. Very impressed with the progress....still needs a drop though...
  12. I do agree Jim, i prefer it gone but i don't know if i want to start adjusting metal work.. Ill leave it on for the time being..
  13. I bet you do Shaun.. Such an amazing car.... Done much with the R32?
  14. I want it to look factory and i am the worst in the world at any sort of painting.. Ill keep my eyes open for a mint one..
  15. I have a primed one ready to paint.. Shame they still don't do the chrome ones..
  16. Finally got round to fitting the bits i received from MJ. Very pleased with them, they match the seats perfectly... I also gave the car an oil and filter change midway through its proper service schedule. In addition i had a good look around and as a result a pricey phone call to VW followed. I think the guy at Glasgow VW has found a new friend.. Parts ordered: Flexible fuel lines inc all brackets and connections. Manifold bolts, all. Sump, gasket and all associated bolts...
  17. Im about to change these on mine.. The lines are on back order from the Factory and are the wrong side of hundred quid for the 2. Fuel lines under the car, 2 out of 3 flexibles are obsolete.. Has anyone used anything else to change these or have any idea where i could get them from??
  18. It could be more cost effective to source a new seat although i know good interiors are getting to be a bit rare.. You could well be surprised though at what sort of repair could be done rather than a retrim.. If you have any specialist trimmers near by may be worth popping in..
  19. Interesting stuff... I wonder what engine it will come with and how much they will be..] In the States Mustangs are very affordable because after all they aren't M3 quality so i hope Ford doesn't ask M3 money.. Ive got admit, having driven 5 different Mustangs, i absolutely love them..
  20. Goldie

    £9.5k Storm

Guy Hartleys old car, a lot of money spent on that..
  21. Spoke to the organiser today, said it was meant to be in July but postponed due to weather. Estimate around 400 cars from the 50s to 1997 (newest allowed).. Think i will have a run out and attend..
  22. Not ideal Bill.. What can we do to help things along?
