  1. Im 33, have had 2 and a half corrados and think i may have to get another at some point...
  2. Well, please take this as a compliment.. If you ever decide to sell this car i would like to be contacted and i mean that 100%...

    16" Steelies

Unsure of ETs but Boras and Beetles had 16inch steelies as an option...
  4. Ill put myself down for a couple of pairs of these if another group buy takes place.
  5. You can get one without a recess if its from an F plate or very early G plate car... Not that easy to find but they exist...

Whats the possible alternative then Graeme??? Must be a good one to think about selling up..
  8. I think if the condition matches the mileage then the car will be worth a lot more than 5k, yes you will need someone who is after a car of this type and be prepared to pay for it... Agreed that holding on until better weather will happen. Id maybe consider spending some money or maximising its condition, professional detail as an example and then go for it...
  9. That engine bay looks great, you must be over the moon Charlie. Shame youve had so many problems along the way, am hoping that is all in the past now though...
  10. That was converted by Ben i think... The pictures arent the most flattering but i bet she will scrub up very well...
  11. I had a similar issue (except someone was attempting to blame me) for a parking ding... Upshot of it was i contacted my insurance and informed them, they said unless it can be proven that nothing would happen (the guy took pics of my car next to his but doesnt confirm contact). The best without proof would be a knock for knock settlement. Proof would need to be in the form of CCTV footage, witness or confirmed paint transfer. They also said that another safety barrier would be in the form that the act took place on private land (military base) so cars dont require insurance anyway, i dont know how this would fair in a supermarket car park. For me this was a result because the guy was trying to pin blame on me for nothing but for you i hope you get a result, it wont be easy though....
  12. Great colour car, love it... My prediction for wheels are that they originate from the Mk4...
  13. If you split the Schrick and remove the centre piece (the flat bit) it is quicker than undoing studs down by the radiator... Many moons ago i put the 268s in my old one, not hard but yes the timing is a worry and the cam sprockets were very tight...
  14. I have recently been converted to liking Porsche and goodness me that is awesome, nice one...
  15. Absolute stunner, very tastefully done... Nice one Bill, hope all is well..
  16. So strong money for a not so great car then.... Im sure one will turn up...
  17. I just took advantage of this as well with some bits for the Bora, saving of just shy of twenty quid.. Nice one Jon, appreciate the heads up....
  18. And a thankyou from me for the card, personally i thought the pic was spot on, good work CCGB.. I may not own a Corrado but will definitely continue to be part of the club...
  19. I think it costs about 70 quid to fill, obviously plus or minus a couple either way depending on fuel quality. Miles, ive never taken in to empty but id guess 400ish motorway driving, not doodling but no land speed record attempts...
  20. I find the mpg similar, mine can do the best part of 40 on a long run (i mean 400 mile run) so long as you dont get carried away. Today i took it out on 15 mile blast and it was spirited and that was down to mid 20s... Ive found a massive improvement using shell v power...
  21. Welcome, lets have a peep and some pics of the caddy...
  22. Bar the smal changes which as stated as easy to change it looks ok to me... Steering wheel is a Mk3 Golf item, gearknob is from a very early rado and supercharged badge missing from rear...
  23. Ok, my views - Thread - i think he was called tribetype, where the guy made an unbelievable dash and interior, others, James with the Campaign and KipVRs brilliant R32, that is what i wanted to find under the bonnet of my old one. Shows - erm, none this year for me. Car - James' Campaign, i love and want that car. Other corkers, Bruny, BIg Ben (The compomotives make that car look sensational)... Best Garage - Ive no doubt DG are the ones out there, ive been lucky this year though, no garage involvement so i cant cast a vote...
  24. An easier option would be to get a USA spec boot lide where there is the brakelight built in...
