You should check them using a set of feeler gauges.. I can't remember the gap you need but it is a 2 second job...

I made a set of red rears myself about 5 years ago and they came out really well. I am useless at anything arty, i can't even draw My Happy so if i can then you can.. Key is preparation, sand them down, thin layers of colour and then laquer. Simply t cut the laquer at the end and they will come up a treat. Take good care with masking, again slow and steady...

Car Meet, Huddersfield, 8th September.. with a difference..
Goldie replied to Jim's topic in Event Announcements & Discussion
I looked at this as well. I don't know whether it has gotten to big for it to run smoothly.. Long way to travel to be turned away.. Obviously i hope it is a success... -
I have a Mk5 R32 handbook, it comes with all the sections an is in mint condition. The service book has the sticker that corresponded to the original car and a delivery service stamp, other than that it is empty. May be of some use to someone who has done a Conversion and wants an R32 wallet and schedule.. £15 posted...

Looks like a cracking car.. Welcome...

Some valid points been made in here.. Totally agree that on its own low mileage isn't enough, parts still need to be changed along the way, wear and tear isn't just movement related.. I do totally agree with the above point though lets stop talking the value of our cars down so much. Low mileage examples are bound to fetch a higher premium over a compatible car that has been to the moon and back..

How old are you, and how long have you had your Corrado/Corrado's?
Goldie replied to Overmind's topic in General Car Chat
33, first one bought at 25, on number 3 now and have been involved in a breaker as well.. Have had a variety of VWs for ten years now... -
I had a one on my old VR6 and yes they are quiet, not intrusive at all..

That is incorrect, It must be valid on the day the tax disc starts only.. I found this quote.. MOT test certificate You must produce an MOT test certificate that is valid on the day the tax disc comes into force. A certificate that expires on the last day of the month eg 30 April cannot be used if the tax disc is to start on the first day of the following month eg 1 May.

Big ball ache, posting things is a pain.. You could sell 10 of one thing and some others never move (or rarely)..
-
That is unfortunate.. Are genuine ones still available from VW? They are from ARZ i believe..

You can get a motor from veedubmachine (also on ebay) for just over 30 quid. Its a pattern part and doesn't come with the thermal fuse Motor - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HEATER-MOTOR-NEW-FOR-VW-GOLF-MK2-CORRADO-JETTA-gti-cl-vr6-gtd-driver-16v-8v-etc-/390453008686?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3ACorrado&hash=item5ae8d0192e#ht_2523wt_986

Well rain means no waxing today I'm afraid but its all covered up so early next week ill get it done.. The parcel from MJ should be here soon, its a leather handbrake sleeve like what i had in my old one, i can't stand the factory plastic thing. The gaiter that is on looks good and will be put to one side but the quality of leather VW used and what a trimmer supplies are worlds apart.. I don't mind a wiper bung and i would never have it permanently removed. If i take it off i will probably go lupo fronts but i don't want a mismatch between front and back.. I need to get my spare corrado badge painted (its in primer) and once done ill chop and change.. The Corrado badge is good but not perfect and i know i can't get another, ill keep my eyes out for one though... As ever thank you for the nice comments...

Ive just had the pleasure of doing this.. The wiki on here is spot on, fuse costs less than a quid from maplins.

Can you not still get them from the Dealer?

Hello...where have you been hiding?
-
Ive had a good day of car playing today.. Interior, fully done, dash, vents out, glass cleaned inside, hoover, not that it really needed any of it.. Engine bay, spent a good while under there rewrapping cables where the tape had seen better days and general cleaning. Outside, full wash, polish, wheels off, polished and sealed, exhaust polished up to the cat.. Hoping to get some wax on the car tomorrow.. I don't know what to do with the back end, wiper off, leave it on, badge colours, i have chrome, body colour and black VW and the same for Corrado script..

The bonnet still looks great Ben, the bumper a little chipped here and there but certainly nothing to worry about. Silver hides marks like that well and then if a fly lands on it or any road tar it sticks out a mile...

It worked and those hubs look nice.. Good progress..

According to my account there have been no new posts since lunch time and i have a new pm although i have read and deleted it.. Any ideas?

Goldie replied to Crispy Squirrel's topic in Exterior
On my old one, when i had german plates on, i used to keep a set of legit ones in the boot. If i ever got stopped i would apologise for not changing them after a show and offer to change them on the spot.. All attached with velcro, 2 second job.. -
I have thought about it and had a look at the thread..
