Usually its the bulb if your good with a soldering iron solder a new one on and go from there.

Yeah thats correct i think the US market used the top part for something like a check engine light

See i had a spare fuel rail undid the clip and couldnt for the life of me pull the fpr out.

Just thought id update this, wired up the indicators to flash when locked and have had the flip key cut too. Been on there now 2 weeks and all okay up to now. Tried the longer pulse borarob but the window wouldnt close all the way to the top so left it at 0.5s pulse and just shut the windows via the switch. I may at some stage wire up the relay like on vwvortex but to be honest i just happy with remote central locking.

If karmannski was dodgy why would he be putting his time and effort into making the roof trims. For me its the Couriers at fault but proving that id going to be hard. Hope it gets resolved.

Cheers fellas. What are the most desirable factory upgrades to have? Also been looking at cupra k1's but im not a big fan of the interior.

Cheers id quite happily have one thats standard. Whats oil consumption like as ive heard stories of the tfsi being a bit of a burner?

Just to throw this into the mix would people be more likely to go for a golf mk5 edition 30 or a mk5 r32? Im currently swayed towards the edition 30 for the tax and the small extra economy. Im in two minds as one day soon i wouldnt mind an upgrade to air con and some extras.
