Yeah as above most corrado parts are obsolete according to the dealership. If you get hold of a part number type it into vw parts germany and if its available then see if vw heritage will order it for you through them to avoid postage fees from germany.

Yep 4 screws two in the corners and two on the top middle of binnacle.
-
Easiest way is to remove the speedo binnacle.

VR6 ABV crank position sensor question - now fuel pressure issue

Vince is the man when it comes to the vr6. Good suggestions hope you get to the bottom of it. -
If you can be 100% sure no air has gone back up towards the master cylinder and brakes feel good then you should be okay. Personally id bledd the whole lot to make sure.

Ended up buying the ebay ones http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOLKSWAGEN-PASSAT-2-8-VR6-IGNITION-LEADS-FERROFLEX-HI-PERFORMANCE-RED-HT-/111376024327 They are a snug fit and do require the filing down of tabs on Ht lead guides to fit properly in my opinion even though it says they dont. Im impressed though for the price, i got given my postage back for providing pictures of them on my car once fitted as you can see in the ebay ad. Car feels a lot more alive i dont know if its just in my head though as its a new part. Anyway thumbs up from me.

Gave the old girl an oil service today (off for a week so thought what better time) 175,000 miles on car and 14k miles on engine, new passenger side headlight glass and all new bulbs installed. Also installed the 8mm red ht leads i got off ebay.

VR6 ABV crank position sensor question - now fuel pressure issue
Jon_vr6 replied to fendervg's topic in Engine Bay
I think the pierburg ones have been discontinued now thus meaning there is only VDO - 1H0 919 651Q available. So when people needed to change their fuel pump they had to order a new vdo pump plus the level sender. When i needed a pump i got mine from VW. -

Surely yours being a VR6 the fuel pump should match the FPR at 4bar? -

If you've got the yellow corrado manual it says in there how to do it. -
Saw you on the way out "Tempest" waiting to pull out onto the main road, i was in E57 ORM. White corrados look cool.

Bit sunburnt ☺

You could get one from a breaker, cut off and reweld.
