I saw this on the ring road the other day, looked great! :)

For £40k I'd be looking at a Boxster Spyder or Cayman R. 997 Cabs are just going to lose money hand over fist compared to those two.

I need a drivers fog if the OP hasn't taken them already.

O/T but that is stunning! WANT!

I remember buying something to address this when I had my Rotrex kit. It was some kind of membrane that let air through but wouldn't let water through- it wrapped round the filter. Unfortunately, I can't find a record of it in my emails - I think Kev might have put me on to it though?

When it's got a battery in: 380Bhp/375lb/ft!

Saw this the other day parked next to me at Sainsburys Kidlington, looked so good! Quite into the white wheels too!

Mine has all black plastics/carpets etc with beige seats and door-cards and I can assure you it looks great :) I agree that all beige is way too overpowering!

To echo what someone else said- there is very often a raft of people waiting for a truly special Corrado to come up for sale, so I'd work out what you wanted for it first and put an ad up. I've had many enquiries for mine over the last couple of years, and some offers that have been very close to what I'd be looking for, so buyers are out there (even when you're not advertising). Personally, I don't think I'd have the heart to rip mine apart after all the 100s hours of work put in, and would much rather someone else enjoyed it in the future. +1 for hearing what's tempting you away :)

Looks stunning- I'd love to get mine wrapped in Blackberry sometime :)

Things are moving along nicely with getting the VRT back on the road: -CPS sensor replaced and car sounds much stronger on start up, so happy that worked out ok. -I've finally gotten a new ABS light, and also bought two new ABS sensors for the front. Should be nice and easy to swap out. -I've had a hot start relay kit that I've been meaning to fit for a while, actually took the time to look at fitting it the other day and it all seems nice and easy- I'll be sure to take some photos of it as it could be of use to a lot of you. -Still looking for a late drivers Fog + Indicator- if anyone has some, let me know :) Once that little lot's been done I'm going to look at refurbing the wheels, then it's tax/test time :)

;) bought it! Great spot cheers for that! Been looking for years!

I've been searching for a replacement ABS Light for years without success. Mine is Part 535919235BA, but the only one's available are either AA or B, which both have a different connector on the end. I did a bit of research and they all appear to have the same 5 pins, so I'm just going to use 535919235B light I bought off eBay a while ago and try to get a new plug from somewhere. Does anyone know what the part number for the corresponding plug is, or better still- have one? I searched Vagcat but can't find the right part. It's been annoying me for years as it will randomly come on.

Success! After all that it was just a slightly flat battery that caused it. Fired up and idled beautifully once charged, certainly seemed to start really nice and easily with the new sensor too :)

Hi Kiran, Any luck with photos etc? How much are you looking for? (Posted to Oxford) Thanks, Andrew

Hmm, I'll give it another go later then. If you disconnected the white plug on the CPS normally and went to start the car, would it just turned over? It may just be that the battery is a bit flat as it's not been driven much lately.

Thanks guys, I managed to get it changed on Friday- because of the routing of the mocal pipes it's a real nightmare even with a small 5mm allen key, you can get about a 1/4 turn in at a time so it takes an age! There are 3 parts- the sensor, an o-ring and a plastic spacer that fits into the block. Does anyone know if the o-ring goes in before or after the black spacer ring Anyway, when I go to start the car all I get it a load of loud clicking now and it won't even crank over at all... It was really tough to get it to fit in snugly as it's only held in by 1 bolt. I put the old sensor in and held it flush by hand without the black spacer to see if I had a duff new sensor and the same problem. (It makes the same noise if I just completely disconnect the sensor). Has anyone got an idea what could be wrong?

Wheels look great- what's do you do for self refurb? Did you grind away kerbing and then fill, sand, primer, paint, lacquer?

Hi, Looking for a few tips on how to fit a Crank Position Sensor to a VR, with the front end on. Space seems very limited and I can't really get it to seat properly-it's currently in at a bit of an angle as I thought doing the bolt up would seat it properly. Is there any good way to do it without taking off the front end? I really don't fancy messing with the Mocal, Intercooler, radiator, boost pipes etc if there's a simpler way to get it fitted but I fear not...

So a little update at last, with possibly two of the most annoying, fiddly, soul destroying jobs to do on a Corrado- no wonder I put them off for so long.. I've needed to replace the O/S driveshaft for a while as the boot had split and through horrible CV grease everywhere. The oil feed for the turbo runs very near the CV boot so I think that over time the continued heating cycles had dried it out. I've wrapped it now so it won't happen again. Secondly, I swapped my Crank Position Sensor. As you may know it's located at the front of the block, by the oil cooler, and located by a little 5mm allen key. Space is super limited and you can get a 1/4 turn at a time on an allen key. Found it very difficult to get back in - there's a little plastic spacer that goes into the block first, and because access is tight I really struggled (see other thread re: this!)
