1. I looked into Z4M coupes for a long time but they really are very small inside- no way to fit a bike in the boot really. Also a lot of stories of them being qa handful due to super short wheelbase. They do look amazing though, so if you have a second car for hauling stuff around they'd be fine. I opted for an E46 M3 in the end and don't regret it for a second! ( though B7 RS4s and Cayman S's are looking Appealing right about now!)
2. As others have said, I'd use the Corrado as a daily and get rid of the estate. You'll save a lot of money not having to run 2 x cars, and you'll be in a nicer car 90% of the time. There is no such thing as a cheap VR6 to do up, it will end up costing you a fortune! The 24v you've got is already sorted and more than capable of handing daily drive duties I'd imagine.
3. E46 M3 has to be in there! (not that I'm biased...)
4. Exhaust note sounds lovely on that drive-by video! 6 Speed box must be lovely too.
5. I have everything except the 4x4, although with an LSD and Traction control I've not found it lacking!
6. Fit my spare driveshaft Fit new Crank Position Sensor Fit Starter motor relay kit MOT and Tax (This has been my list for the last 6 months, one day I will get round to it!)
7. ....or VRT for serious kick! Could be a good replacement for a VX.
8. Yet you think your VRT plate is worth over a grand? You seem to think that everything you have for sale is worth a good premium, then chip in on every other for-sale/feeler thread with low ball amounts.
9. That was incredible! Imagine watching that happen from the ground. WTF.
10. B5 RS4s are amazing value right now considering what your get. There are a few going round Oxford at the moment and they do sound pretty good. Tempting to chop the VRT and M3 and see what I can get, although Gen 1 Cayman S's can be had for a little more...
11. The VRT should be back on the roads within the next week or two :) Gave it a good wash at the end of last week. Had a bit of a nightmare last week: 3 punctures on my road bike, and 1 on the M3. So, the tyre pressure warning light came on, luckily I was a couple of hundred meters from a garage so drove it there really slowly, not wanting to use the tyre foam in my boot, as I'd heard stories of garages subsequently refusing to repair tyres. Turns out even 10m on a 19-265-30 tyre can ruin it- so that's a 3 month old tyre, a handy £240 out the window :( Performance car ownership is never cheap! To cheer up the post, here are a couple of photos from a Euro Trip I did in August:
12. Ok James, let me know. I don't know of any door cards sorry, it looked good with black cloth door cards as I had it, but some red inserts might look good too...
13. I would imagine so yes, I just checked my original order and the the specific colour was 'BMW OXBLOOD RED, Matt.' so they should be able to match without any problems. The Furnitureclinic website has extensive walkthroughs video for everything needed to be done + I think there is an old thread on here by KADVR6 showing it.
14. Picked up one of these kits the other week from Volksgoods. Am I right to assume the positive fee can just be taken from Terminal 30 on the starter motor, as that gets a direct feed from the battery in any case. Which is the gearbox earth on the starter motor? The instructions I've got suggest removing one of the long 13mm bolts that go to through the gearbox, but there's a lot of stuff in the way (ie the cable holder mounted on the starter)- Any easier to get to earths down there?
15. Thanks Portent, Tentonhammer, the price reflects their condition to be fair. I'm just looking for a quick, easy sale to get them out of my parents way more than anything!
16. They have heated elements in them, but I've never hooked them up before to test. Manual adjustment. Make some room ;)
17. These never seem to come up! I put a wanted ad up every couple of months for one. I don't know if it's possible to use the AA light and wire in the AA connector?
18. Hi, I've had these in storage at my parents house for the last year since I fitted the cream leather. It is made up of a set of early Corrado leather backrests, late rear seats and centre bump and 2 x Golf Colour Concept Recaros on Corrado subframes. The seats are really comfortable, with rearly nice large side bolsters. The seats were originally black, but I dyed them using a BMW Oxblood red Furnitureclinic kit, which took me a good week of my life to do. Through use and being stored they have quite a few marks that I've tried to show in the photos, and would really need a good clean and a few hours work with a small furnitureclinic kit to get them back looking their best. There is one part where the paint has come off the arm of one chair and the back rest due to how they were stored, I've tried to show this in photos. However, I really need these gone to make some room for my parents. For a quick sale, I'll take £200 collected from OX29 for them. Below are some photos when they were in the car, and some I took last night. 19. Interested to see what happens with this one. As soon as mine is taxed and tested it'll be going up for sale.
20. Shame to see the car go Kev, but happy to see it sold so quickly! The buyer got a heck of a lot of car for the money. Did I see that you were thinking of Z3M coupes? If you can, find one with the later S54 engined ones as it's the one in the E46 M3. A design masterpiece I'm sure you'll agree!
21. It seems like it's VRT resurrection season at the moment! Mine should be going for MOT in the next week or so too! Good to have a few people back on the forum!
22. Nice one Jon, PM'd with payment details. Andy
