  1. So how much boost was your turbo kicking out? Just curious.Over a bar obviously ?!
  2. leak is more pronounced when the engine is cold because heat makes objects expand and the opposite happens when cold. In terms of finding the leak, its just a case of having a good look. Sorry not more help.Just concentrate around the areas where water pipes join etc.
  3. the vdo guage will not work properly from just a digital pulse. It is expecting to see a large voltage spike that would be induced by the coil. On a later g60 it not as ssimple as just hooking it up to the coil directy either. You have to mak sure it sees the right voltage by placing some resistances in series to the guage. On a late g60 the vdo tach is fed via the ecu.
  4. with no power attached the isv will just remain in a semi open state and so it could stabilize the problem if it is sticking under normal operation.
  5. when I put MS on my car at 1st I had no isv.I would then have to hold the revs up for about 30 seconds until the car got a bit warmer and then it would idle. I now have an isv running and so don't need to do this. When cold starting the isv plays a big part. However some people on here run without one but i found consistent starting differcult without one. Clean or replace your isv's to rule them out. Also check that your blue temp senders are healthy as the ecu needs this sensor to properly meter cold start enrichment. Next time you go for a long drive see if the situation is better on warm starts.
  6. have you changed the elctric window regulator? Have you had a look at it to see if water has got into it?
  7. Good decision to build the car back up.At least you will have someting to enjoy while you make other plans.
  8. 10 4 2 6 8 o o o o o o o o o o 7 5 1 3 9 :)
  9. tighten in sequence to 40 nM then tighten in sequence to 60Nm. then turn in sequence another 180 degrees (or two 90 degree turns) The sequence is the normal vw 8v sequence as per haynes manual.Does this cover what u need?
  10. he shouldn't be giving you a fast idle test anyway. Any MOT experts to confirm or deny???
  11. you have to say that your his brother and your living in his house.LOl. nah they look cool. For a winter wheel. I guess.. Maybe. :)
  12. I think it looks better than the new rocco personally. Nice looking car. Glad your ok mate. :salute:
  13. The Ferrari seems the better car at the moment, unless it is raining.
  14. Kov was poor today. What's the Japanese track like?
  15. He's has been rapid all weekend though.I think he deserves some credit. :) It was a weekend for riding your luck.
  16. just regular 1/4 watt resistors. two 6k ohm resistors should do you.
  17. yeah you can't start chasing your tail when you change one thing and then the next. Its tricky. With those new settings did you re adjust the dizzy(or the trigger angle) to find the right point where it will bite? Sorry to hear about your other car.You could do without that huh!!!!!
  18. yeah he is blowing hot and cold at the mo,and that lap that Massa put in has gotta hurt him mentally. Well it's the bussiness end now. No doubt i'll be shjouiting at the TV again come tomorrow.
  19. Yup, that's the one. Wired up the same way by the looks of it. I just used two of the unused pins on the module to power the hall sender. As the unit has the capacity to do that, but the rado as standard gets power for the hall sender form teh ECU. Cheers Goldie  Did you read the config settings? they are different to yours.
