    spk to whoever re-built your charger if you are worried. i fine misting of oil is ok I believe.

    alternator,charger and charger bracket off. Not hard. Just be methodical. btw Charger tensioner can be a nightmare to get back on. Lots of swearing for that without the proper tool. The pump is split or something? Stick with it mate,you may as well get to grips with these things if your going to keep the car. I'd take the front of the car off as it sounds like you could use the elbow room. my 2p.

    the good thing with gloves is you just take them off and your done,and no arguement with your lady about a dirty sink etc. :)

    some "get out of jail cards" are handy. irwins molegrips dremel. You won't know why you need them until you need them.

    I know it has already been spelled out to you in big capital letters :) but just be careful after your run in period as the ecu ignition map is not one for a FI car. :salute:

    judging by the look of his pistons b4 I really don't think he has an issue with boost leak. The car was boosting just fine. :)

    The thing that increases idle speed is air. When the car is warm if you unplug does it still idle high? Try looking for splits in any of the vac oses or the hose that goes from isv to throttle body or any hose that will let air into the engine via a route other than the throttle or the isv.

    that won't stop cranking buddy. you could disco the coil from the dizzy and it would still turn over.

    You'd be wasting your time last I saw they were covered in brake dust! The mucky pup! :grin: I thought they were gunmetal powder-coated for a bit. :) its a special coating. helps with.. :scratch: stuff. Sorry Traverse. I won't post any more in your thread. Promise.

    Actually I have had a change of heart. Trav should go with black. He should also keep those black stripes. And then paint the rest of the car black.

    lol.. Dark cars only for me i'm afraid. nah meths not for me. Crack gives me the high i'm looking for these days. And it's a cool look. :)
