  1. There is a thread on the cupra forum with a list of all the wheels.
  2. Is it the rear or front? If front, the tracking may be out.
  3. Thanks Andi for continuing to improve an already terrific site. The Escrow system sounds very good as it gives the buyer protection that wasn't there before. From looking on the panjo website there is a fee for the seller, but it seems a small price to pay (Forum fee + 2.9% + $0.30*) for the security you get when selling your item. \Paddy
  4. Thanks for that. I have it attached to the exhaust now. Hopefully I'll get time next week to get it on the car.
  5. Hi. Since it's been over 2 years since I removed this from the car I forget which way it fits. Anyone any ideas? \Paddy

    3 bar grill

It looks like a piece was cut out of yours. Here's some pics of mine. Sorry about all the dust. \Paddy
  7. Try put a jack under it to take the weight of the axle off the bolt.
  8. Is the brake pressure regulator on the rear axle working properly? Are they getting a full flow of fluid when bleeding the caliper?
  9. Indicator wire is black/white for left indicator and black/green for right indicator. I'm not sure of the original path of the wires as I have redone all my looms.
  10. The only thing I got done during the week is order a few more parts. I'll be collecting the starter tomorrow morning and hope to get a chance to get the engine running. I have the battery on charge and got this tonight in preparation: I also bought this for the garage: It doesn't look that big until I compare it to my old one: Hopefully it'll be the last one I have to buy. Here's hoping I'll have a real update tomorrow.
  11. Damn you tapatalk. I thought I was on a different forum again. bearings are part of the disc. Remove caliper, remove carrier. Remove large nut that holds disc. Take bearing from your old disc and put it in your new disc, with new grease. Then reinstall everything. The large nut should not be overtightened. I'll see if I can find the setting for this: Thrust washer should be moveable using finger pressure against screwdriver without prying. Also forgot to say, you can remove the old abs rotor from the old disc and reuse it.
  12. Is the starter getting 12v when you try start the car? Did you try contact the previous owner and see if it was an issue they had seen before?
  13. Thanks for the comments lads. Not much of an update today. A parcel arrived today. Out with the old: And in with the new: I'll have to make a new bench for it now. \Paddy
  14. I have an early drivers door with late leather aswell. You have me wondering now if it will fit properly. I'll have to wait until tomorrow to check.
  15. Here's a pic of the door lock rod where it passes through the door. If your saying this binds with the door card then there may be something else wrong. \Paddy
  16. I can post a pic of mine tomorrow if you want. I haven't got the drivers door card fitted yet as I can't find the bracket for the door pocket.
  17. Have you a pic of the plastic joiners for the door rods? If it's the ones I'm thinking of they are available on ebay.
  18. Can't believe its so long since I updated. It's probably because I had a nightmare with the headliner. I had it prepped easily enough, and since I had done a lot of carpeting in vans before I kind of took it as being a formality. Boy was I wrong. 3 tins of contact adhesive, 1 spray can of glue and and about 5m of suede later I was back where I started. I eventually changed for a different suede material with a foam backing and high temp glue and got it done 1st go. Here it is installed. As you can see I got a good bit done over the past 2 months. Most of the interior is in and I had the glass fitted last week. I got new trim clips from ebay and the windscreen rubber kit from arz tuning. The brake carriers should be here next week and I have sent the starter to get reconditioned(I don't have a vice yet and I couldn't open the screws on the solenoid.) Once I have the starter back I will be ready to start the engine and see how my wiring is. I sent the slam panel to the painters and have to collect it soon, along with the bumpers. I also collected my scuttle panel(thanks slim_crx) and bought new mirror glass from ebay. Thanks also to vw rule for the wiper linkage. Here are a few pics I took this evening.
  19. Does it have the number plate lights?
  20. They obviously knew nothing about corrados. It would surely have broken down on them as they were making their getaway. \Paddy
  21. The black wire should have 12v going to it. Can you connect that directly to the battery and then check if the grey wires have 12v? If the grey wires have 12v the car should start and stay running, provided the alarm hasn't interfered with the grey wires. When your checking the grey wires one wire from the boot light should go to ground (screw for door contact switch is easy to use) and the other end should go to the grey wire.
  22. Yes. When you have the light removed and the temp wires connected to it, put one wire to the - on the battery and the other to the +. You will then know that the light works. Then test the black wire 1st(ignition on). Then test the grey wires, one at a time.
  23. The two grey wires have 12v when the ignition is turned on. Have you some spare wire? If so then remove the interior light from the boot(assuming it works) and use that to test for 12v in the black wire 1st, then the greys. 1 wire on the light to earth and the other end to the wire you are testing for 12v. You need to keep the immobiliser plugged in when testing for 12v in the grey wires. I use just a few strands of wire and push them into the back of the pin with the grey wire.
  24. The 2 black wires are connected to the 6 pin connector? Only 1 of those is part of the original loom. The other was prob part of the alarm. Have you checked that this has 12v when the ignition is turned on? And that the 2 brown wires are connected to earth? I'll check now if the 2 grey wires should have 12v out from the immob box when the ignition is on. \Paddy
