would you say that rear's height is OK.... or that rear is LOWER than front? if so: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=85023

hey, thanks. I have epoxy glue. would it be useful? I think I'll better go to a scrap yard and get some a.c. switches from any car, then cut the section that has de picture and glue it to my switch. or print an a.c. picture on a plastic sheet or something like this... well i have other things in mind before

I may take it to a local garage to get it discharged then. does anyone know if I can remove the heater box but leave the evaporator and heater matrix still connected to their pipes? any pics of a corrado with the dash out so I can see it? rthanks :) :)
-
hi, yes that's what I would like to know: the way of draining the coolant of the evaporator ... it's not damaged, I'm just pulling out the heater box so I need to unplug the evaporator
-
thanks. I'm finally using a piece of plastic instead of the glue slice. however I was thinking about glueing it into the switch with the gun glue but once I have read your post, I think I'll use "super glue". what else could I use instead? early switches use bulbs but I'll drop a led in :) thanks for your reply, it may have saved me of ruining my switch once installed in the car
-
thanks :D I'll have to repaint the slice because a small piece of crap has fallen on it :bad-words:

In the end, I left the glue gun slice idea on one side, and I used a slice of white plastic instead DSCN6904.JPG[/attachment:be4uijoh] looks better than in this pics

DSCN6846 (Medium).JPG[/attachment:25rq5ecm] the slice is getting painted now, with black paint. once the paint is dry, I'll remove some of it and leave A.C. "written" on it so it gets retro-illuminated. pics to follow :) any opinions or thoughts are wellcome :)

Hi all, in the unsuccessful search of an a.c. switch to match the early interior, I decided to do it myself. I'ts not finished yet, but I'll post some pictures anyway. However, if I get a mega :epicfail: , I reserve the rights of deleting this thread  Base switch Corrado conversion V2 (3).pdfDSCN6830 (Medium).JPG[/attachment:fmpuu4uq] my friend  passat climatronic wiring diags.pdfDSCN6837 (Medium).JPG[/attachment:fmpuu4uq] drilling the switch, in order to remove the undesired icon climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfDSCN6839 (Medium).JPG[/attachment:fmpuu4uq] now removed 8) 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfDSCN6840 (Medium).JPG[/attachment:fmpuu4uq] finishing it DSCN6841 (Medium).JPG[/attachment:fmpuu4uq]

well I only want to take apart the heater box. I don't know if there is gas, coolant, etc that's why asked :| i'd like to know what will I find there. once the evaporator is replaced, I'll obviously take it to a garage so they recharge the system....

Hi there, I'd like to know if I can do it myself, or has to be "professionally done"? I want to disconnect this: (is it tthe thingy located in the heater box? that's what I want to disconnect). I will also replace (while we're there....) the expansion valve seals see pic. of expansion valve: and I'll also be replacing the drier as well so the question is... how should the circuit be emptied? may I get a frozen arm or something ( )?? is it dangerous?? my gf says there's no problem in doing it myself but who knows!!! (I hope she doesn't read it or I'll get my ***** cut off!)

iirc, the valve is for the case that the oil filter got blocked. if so, then the valve would bypass the filter so the oil can still go under circulation. dirty oil is better than no oil
-
it happened to me the 3rd day of ownership. I always leave the expansion tank just where the hood engaghes the front crossmemer since then, so if the hood is uncloseable if I ever forget again...

so replacing both of them would definately make the pedal a lot softer? I don't know. You asked about what components were used to pump the pedal to and thro. If you have changed all the other components recently,i.e clucth and pressure plate then you would have to think that maybe then it is a hydraulic issue. Do they look ok visually? No leaking fluid? yes they look ok, and no leaks. maybe it's normal that they are that hard... well, maybe it's not hard, but corrado normal :? it's softer than a clio I had (year 1997, cable actuated clutch), but harder than a renault scenic (year 2007)....

I replaced the whole clutch kit 60.000 miles ago, it is , 3 years ago. so there isn't any pump or something that may have any effect on this?
-
5 months ago :) and the fluid reservoir too
-
I'm starting to think that the clutch pedal is going harder every day. it returns correctly to it's original position, but if I have a long city ride my left leg feels like :pukeright: what should I replace, and how hard is it to do it? engine is a kr btw :) thanks!

Does a Corrado bonnet fit inside a Corrado boot?
krnau replied to C. Will Corrado G60 2's topic in General Car Chat

I thought I'd find one of those 398712498Megapixel pictures in here

you'll find a retaining clip close to the TB. pull that clip out, and look at the microswitch. if it get's clicked then you'll have to adjust the throttle cable with this clip.
-
Hi, ive had a look this morning and the throtte body lever doesnt shut to the little microwitch. Bout half a cm gap. do you know how to fix this? that microswitch is held in place by two bolts. once you've undone both of them, you will be able to move the microswitch freely.

is there any link to it?
