  1. so there is non other way to go apart from welding new arches, isn't it? pfff €€€€€ :( does anyone have pics of eibach lowered corrados to see if it is only happening in mine?
  2. you won't sleep the night before, trust me!
  3. first post updated with new, fresh info
  4. hi. I am probably going to do some rear arches job (well, not me!) because my rear arches are at about 2cm from rear wheels   I am looking for some ideas, or pictures, about wide body corrados :) if any of you have pictures, please, post them here :)
  5. well I have just given a phone call to the garage that did my suspension+springs job. They say that my rear shocks are corrado ones (I will check it anyway, just in case they used some other car rear shocks...). They have also told me that these shocks haven't got anything like koni's height adjustement :( :( :( so I don't know where to look at now :pukeright: :pukeright: :pukeright: :pukeright:
  6. hmmm 'll have a check this afternoon :) thanks! btw I am currently using "selex" shocks, I think they are not sold in the UK as they are of a Catalan fabrication;
  7. If you want to adjust them though, the damper will have to be taken off, unfortunately. and if I only want to check if that "clip" is there, should I remove rear shocks as well?
  8. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I will have a look tomorrow. thank you all for your help
  9. and............ should I be able to see it, without taking rear shocks out of the car? thanks : :)
  10. as I said about Koni dampers, they have adjustable rear spring baseplates, original VW rear dampers often have the same design, i.e. a groove machined in the damper body and a circlip fitted into that which the baseplate sits on, so you could get a VW damper machined with a groove a little higher up. The only difference from standard would then be the small (original) groove visible below the new position of the spring baseplate which you could even hide with a bit of underseal   could you post a pic of it? It is hard for me to understand it, sorry :(
  11. and putting some kind of plate or spacer under the rear springs?
  12. yes, coilovers are allowed... however, you have to pay to an "industrial engineer" to "confirm" they are ok for the corrado (and this, in money, is about 200 pounds   ). spain is pain...
  13. one here! I would like to get some ddi dials going up to 8K RPM :norty:
  14. have you done it your self? i assume you dont because when you remove the "plastic"thingy is glued to the LCD crystal and when ungluing it becomes uselsss. i have done it many times and i recomend to get it from DDI or elsewhere. I run a few years ago a group by for the cirradi club in spain and Anh told me that if i came up with enough people he would run an 8000rpm set, but enough numbers to make it cost effective for him maybe over 20 or 25. and then the time to prototype, QA and all people may have long gone and forgotten about it. BR yes I did it myself and LCD didn't become useless
  15. hi, thank you all for your replies :) I purchased the springs directly from germany, and they are already in my car so getting them back to factory is impossible ATM :( I can't use coilovers because spanish MOT is a real crap. i.e., only eibach springs are permitted :( I will upload pics later when I manage to transfer them from my mobile phone to the computer , so you can see.. thanks :)
  16. Hi, I had some eibach springs installed in my corrado and fronts have lowered the car something like 25mm , but the rears have left the arches almost in contact with rear wheels (brock b1's 9"x16), giving a total lowering of 6cm! the fix: -koni rear dampers +2cm -new rear top mounts... let's say 0.5cm -by rotating the spring isolator (nr. 12 in the pic) something like 0.5cm can be lifted -chopped front top mounts, installed between rear lower spring plate (nr. 6 in the pic) and the spring itself (nr. 1). they have been chopped horizontally) in order to lift about 1.5cm download/file.php?id=71703&mode=view so now, it is all leveled. thanks to all who helped me
  17. why are you buying a reverse lcd kit?? you can do it yourself by just pulling out the LCD screen plastic thingy and puting it "reverse"
  18. I have asked for 8k rpm dials many times to them  but it actually seems impossible to get any :( so are you going to fit 7k ones?
  19. omg I don't want more rust in my car  I like the L metal piece extensions idea :notworthy:
  20. they are producing dials for 2.0 16v (same as g60?) but not for 1.8 16v (8.000rpm :norty: ) :(
  21. when rolling front arches.. what should be done with the inner plastic cover/protection ?? if the arches are rolled, the holes into which inner plastic is screwed too get displaced outside... how can this be avoided?
