  1. well I fitted new rear top mounts today. Apparently it has made no difference at all. However, the oe part number is 191 512 333 and the ones I have put today is 191 512 333 7rl. They look slightly different. does anyone know what car may they be from? thanks
  2. A question for the electronic wizards on here - something I've wondered about for years :- I grasp the concept of the 'code' changing each time you use it - but how do the emitter and reciever keep in step ? What happens if I press the button on my 'key' when I'm nowhere near the car ? Wont the key change its code, but the reciever will still be expecting the code the key just used ?? I can see how the concept works in a two-way handshake method, as in computer networking, but not where the two devices are not two-way. Can anyone educate me ?? it might be that the emitter sends a random code to the receiver, then, the receiver returns a reply to the emitter's random "message" and the emitter sends a third message which is the one that "opens" the central locking. like Request Reply Acknowledge in networking :)
  3. gsf don't have oem parts, or FEBI :S
  4. hmm or.. are there any other web sites with cheap prices (similar to vwspares) that ship out of UK?
  5. Hi, I have sent them lots of mails but I have never got any response back :( Does anyone know if they ship to Spain? Prices in their site are very cheap (beru kr ignition leads cost 120€! in Spain, and in vwspares 40!)? or if you had to buy something from them, I would pay in advance so you get some bits for me.. and then send them to Spain? :(
  6. what about getting some colour coded spray cans? I have painted some parts of my C with them and looks ok even if you look closer. You may find a paint shop near to you that can do it :)
  7. I think that for a lil more, you'd got a full respray..
  8. hm, and also... where does it go? http://www.corrado-teile.de/shop/produc ... mlrn7ovkqe
  9. well I finally got rear konis fitted  the rear of the craprado has been lifted about 2cm "by eye" (this is, the 2cm that konis provide). However, I would like to ask a couple of questions: 1. I have screwed (screwed?) upper spring plate and spring isolator as much as I have could, so the upper plate is sitting now on the bottom of the shock's top thread. I imagine that if I leave top spring plate at 1 or 2cm on the lower section of the upper shock's thread, then I would be able to lift the car a lil more. would it be bad for driving or security? 2. I forgot about 2nd question

  13. I'd run away from it. Scam 30000000%! As said before, they will keep phoning your home until you don't answer the phone. And it is then when they'll come to "collect" it... don't trust any good written words. They know what they are doing ..
  14. hmmm thanks for your reply. I am a good antenna though
  15. yes but wasn't some kind of base or a whatsit needed?
  16. what are the pollen filter & needed bits part numbers? Does anyone have a full kit lying around? thanks :D
  17. I removed both of them, and I found that one bolt had a "filter" in it which might be worth checking in the process. mine was very clean btw. hope it helps :)
  18. and what about the jumping? :S
  19. it happens to me as well. but shouldn't coolant temp and oil temp be about the same? I think 20ºC of difference isn't normal. There might be some issues with MFA readings, ie. my MFA jumps from 12 to 12ºC at a time..... all of time...
  20. Hi. I read many posts about g60 fuel pipes cracking and setting the car on fire. I went to the stealer and bought two fuel pipes for my KR which are made of rubber. they costed ~30€ each and I only wanted to let you know that it would be good to replace them. These fuel pipes are the ones that go from (your) driver's side of the engine bay, to the metering head. They are the only 2 (I think) that are not made of metal. part numbers are: 051.133.699C 051.133.723C I will be replacing them next week. I will let you know the condition that the old ones were in.
