Yes I did trim the front but as you say you cant really do much about the rear.

Just got round to fitting my trims, easy enough, a bit of careful trimming here and there. I found dunking the old trim clips in a bowl of boiling water for a minute was enough to loosen the glue to remove them, I was concerned putting them in the oven would damage them. Thanks Karmannski, Legend :thumbleft:

It's a very nice calendar this year Ron,thanks :thumbleft:

M3? No,long gone:)

It's not after market (don't think) and I am pretty sure it's body related rather than something that bolts to the engine,
-
It's very similar to the radiator top brackets, but not quite

Carried out most of the finishing touches to the engine bay today, fitted new H.T leads, washer bottle with new washer tubing, re-fitted bonnet and gave car a bit of a clean. Then a very short test drive. Everything seems fine 8) So after all this work there had to be something left ! and this is it, any ideas anyone ??:) thanks for reading :)

Watched it today with my wife & 2 boys and we all very much enjoyed it, great start to the Xmas break :) :)

It's not obvious they are upside down until the driveshafts are fitted and then they rub on the anti roll bar links , just remember the brackets for the anti roll bar point downwards :)

Thanks for the comments chaps, surprised myself really at 11 weeks, it has flown back together 8)

Thanks. Yes they are mk4 covers, they might not stay but just trying them as they were free!

Thanks all for the comments :thumbleft: So today, 11 weeks after I pulled this apart I drove it out of my garage  Had a couple of hiccups last week, firstly no one spotted in a previous picture that I had fitted the wishbones upside down :bonk: and when I filled it with coolant there was a leak from the stat housing which I had to pull apart again to rectify. Luckily I hadn't fitted the front end at that point. Otherwise it fired up easily, sounds fine and the new clutch is lovely and light. Still got the wiper motor/linkage and surrounding area to clean, under bonnet too before I re-fit it and a few other jobs but getting there. Father Christmas is bringing me some nice red H.T leads too which should look nice 8)

Yeah, but the Millennium Falcon, X-wing and Tie fighters are cool right :thumbleft: CazzaVr might have a view on this :)

I'm seeing it next Wednesday with my boys, can't wait :)

That looks awesome, especially for a fairly mundane Touran 8) Not that far from me either 8)

Had a go at bleeding mine conventionally this morning and got a reasonable pedal without much trouble. Can't do the rears though until it's out of the garage. There is a 7mm bleed screw on the end of the master cylinder too, start there-abs-then calipers.

They don't take much effort to remove, just held on with a few trim clips, gently prise them off with a crow bar !:) Or plastic trim tool :)
