New VR6 owner in Swadlincote, Derbyshire area
Harrier replied to John Blount's topic in Newbies Hangout
Welcome to corrado ownership :) Got any pics /details ? -
'Gates' are possibly the best you can get imo , fitted as O.E on many makes. Buy it as a kit with the tensioner pulley. :) Most motor factors could supply it.

I remember reading that thread, can't believe it was 9 years ago
-
Out of curiosity Chris, do you know how many different types of abs pump there are for the vr6 ? And what part number would a 95/N reg have? Good luck with you search btw :)
-
It's not used, for a different version or something :)
-
Not 100% sure yet, I think it's more likely that I will drive up early that morning, however I might look into accommodation the night before, not sure what is around .

Brilliant!! Look forward to seeing you and the car soon :) -
I'm booked in with the concours at Stanford this year Sean. Good show, the Ccgb stand usually gets a good showing, around 10 cars last year. Enjoyed Elsecar a few years ago, as you say it's a bit more for the modded scene, would like to go again but it's a long old drive.

Welcome to the forum, looks really nice :) Nice photos too

Ok, that's good to know! :)

Where on earth did you find that clutch master cyl ?!! I struggled to find one 4 years ago !
-
Probably worth a phone call t see if you can cancel the order, bit of a pain otherwise :(
-
The part in the link is the trim that locates on the door, there is a separate trim that slots into the door card and then sits in the trim you have shown. I think that's what you mean ? No idea if it's available anywhere, I got one from lilfuzzer

Too much! I would have said £5-600

After getting mine back together I wasn't sure if I had all the air out or not , the pedal felt OK but not great. As it turns out Ive had to remove my new (bba reman) abs pump as it still has a fault with a valve so will have it all to do again anyway :bonk: We should have a brake bleeding party !

After the previous post Chris made about your p/s pulley being the wrong way round I noticed a slight squeak from my belt today while tinkering with the car, sure enough, I had fitted mine the wrong way too !! Thanks for that :thumbleft:

Incredible work , it does make me feel a little sad that all the work I have just done on mine is rather second rate by comparison :( !

Are you going Sean ? Think we could get a southern area convoy planned :) -
Welcome along :) another here on the south coast :) Maf sensor is a possibility for the flat spot, best to get it scanned first though

I have left the original Sony radio cassette in mine, which is pants but have a wireless speaker for my I- pod when I'm out and about :)
-
Nice to see you back getting your hands dirty on the Corrado again Sean ! Let me know if you need any tools or anything to borrow :)

I have heard of this before after a car cover had been used, not sure why it happened but it was rectified with a machine cut back/ polish. Talk to your painter, hope it gets sorted, the paint looked lovely when I saw it last.
