Mmmm velour !

A slight wear ridge is inevitable on an engine of this age/ mileage. It's not necessarily terminal though. Have you had a compression check in the past? Does the engine burn much oil ?

A nice write up , I like the U.S 3rd brake lamp, looks good.

So, just a little update and a couple of pics. Attended a local meet at Beaulieu a few weeks ago and last weekend the CCGB National Day at Fairford RIAT. Car running great, Some issues with the ABS though. After soldering in a new bulb to the warning lamp, which wasn't working also had to replace nsf wheel speed sensor and also today replaced the osr wheel sensor which showed up faulty after a diagnostic scan. lamp will go out now after a 5 mile drive so not ideal but will get it through the Mot next week. Looks like the ABS unit is due overhaul or replacement, unusual !!! Not sure what or where the next event will be.

You will probably need to get the rear arches rolled with that drop. Fronts will be ok though.

Chris Knott VIRTUAL SHOW & SHINE 2015

'Can we ban adverts from the Forum?' Surely advertisers and the revenue they give to the Forum help keep it running ? -
They are modded for extra cooling/air intake I think.

Ok, a couple of pics :) camping Saturday. CCGB clubstand aeroplanes !

You will have to wait until tomorrow for my pictures :) been in long enough to unpack, shower & eat. Yes, traffic was heavy to say the least and I missed a traffic diversion which meant my 2 hour drive there was a 3.5 hr drive home ! Many other folk will have had a much longer drive than me though. Didn't detract from a brilliant weekend though, enjoyed very much the camping & pub Saturday night , great company :) The air show was awesome and went on quite late, I didn't leave until after 5pm with some others, but left many still enjoying the sunshine and the show. Many thanks to all who organised this :thumbleft: Congrats to Matt & Chris on their tropheys, very well deserved

It's just occurred to me that I haven't received a pass or anything for entry to the show ? Had a couple of emails giving directions etc Should I have anything more ?

What time are you chaps getting to the pub/campsite ? Thinking it's handy camping at a pub as food and drink are taken care of, or are you bbq'ing and taking your own drink ?
-
No problem at all Michael, thanks for the beers :):drinking: :)

The white plastic clips for securing the brake pipes to the rear beam will break ! the bolts that secure the rear bias valve will likely be seized too.Available from Vw :)

That sounds normal for a 92 car, full facelift including dash etc came a little later.

Horndean, where in Portsmouth are you ?
-
That is the same as mine. If you need it for an mot you are welcome to borrow mine if it helps you out . Just north of Portsmouth
-
You might find the ABS light just has a blown bulb, needs to be soldered in but not too difficult. Bulb from Maplins, just did mine.
